    Bibliography

To Joel Jean-Baptiste and Varja. In your sacrifice I was able to find a way to access other worlds. To my son, Storm-Alexander Jean-Baptiste; my fiancée, Lisa Young; and my family, for whom I hope this book will help future access to new levels of understanding, love and prosperity. May these new senses allow you to recognize that you do belong; God/Goddess/All That Is knows your name and loves you.

Know what is before thy face, and what is hidden from thee shall be revealed unto thee; for there is nothing hidden which shall not be made manifest.

    —Gospel of Thomas, Saying 5

    Preface

One morning in August 1996, my spirit guide awakened me and asked me if I would help someone with AIDS. After saying yes, I called one of my students, Sylvie Roy, whom I had recently taught how to use her intuitive abilities, and I asked her about what had just happened. She told me that in the coming weeks, she saw me working with someone who had AIDS. Two weeks later, while she was reading a local newspaper, she saw an ad asking for help for a woman who had AIDS.

I called the person who had placed the ad and arranged a meeting with the woman. Varja had full-blown AIDS. After telling her about my contact with my higher selfe, I told her that I would do my best to help her with this devastating illness. While working with her, with the help of my higher self I discovered how to help people see inside the human body and see past and future events in people’s lives—I even taught the resident doctor of the hospice how to see inside the human body and see the guides that were around her bed, protecting her and in time coming to get her to go on to the other side. After she passed, I tried to continue my work but was too drained physically, emotionally and financially to work. Other doctors were interested in what I had to offer and asked for more trials, which I could not do. With what I had learned, I decided to reorient myself to business applications and study more about how I did what I did, to be able to teach it more effortlessly to others.

During a seminar on chakras in the late 1990s, I later discovered a new way to orient my research and focus. The seminar talked about having 12 senses. For many years I started looking at energy levels and other approaches. I perfected my techniques and strategies in teaching and training by going to the top university program in adult education in the country. Using other observations I had made during an NLP training with Kathleen Lavalle, a master NLP trainer at the First Institute in Manhattan, I have now had enough testing, research and practice to bring you this book and honour my promise to Varja and my late son, Joel.

    Acknowledgments

To Varja and Joel Jean-Baptiste, for whom I made a process to bridge the barrier between worlds and to discover and find a way for people to see beyond this physical world, so that communications and collaboration between humans can be created out of confidence, hope, trust and love.

I would first like to thank my fiancee, Lisa, for her support and sacrifices during this long process. May this book inspire others, as you wished it to be.

A thank-you to Karen Opas Lanouette, my first developmental editor, who was able to effectively help me articulate and channel my thoughts and ideas into this book to bring you, the reader, a better understanding of the 7 Lost Senses™ so that they can change your life and allow you to base your decisions and choices with the future instead of the past.

To Tony Robbins, who of course ignited the passion within me at an early age. To Joseph, who took the time to bring me my first Tony Robbins tapes, and to Salim Koja, who had started the Magellan group at the time and then turned it into the phenomenal company The Power Within. Salim and Yoseph, the Magellan baby is now an adult! To Jean Savard and Christelle Geneau for helping me get my big break in Montreal, which started my career.

To Dr. Richard Bandler and John Lavalle, who thought me that working with our minds to create reality can be fast, fun and efficient, and that change can be rapid and long-lasting. To Kathleen Lavalle, who changed my life with a small exercise about seeing subtle energies. Thanks, Kathleen—that small exercise about the energy field sparked my curiosity so much that I became very observant to the slightest changes I could observe.

To Dr. Joanne Starodub, who not only trained me in neuro linguistic programming (NLP), metaphysics and hypnosis but also helped me tap into the frequencies of the world of dominion instead of domination, by initiating me to the Lazaris Material. To Diane Tremblay, my first NLP teacher, who helped me see connect and feel my inner self-helpers, my higher self. That connection allowed me to tap into a whole new world, for which I want everybody to have access to with this book so that readers can start realizing they are never alone. To MS, for your organizations support over the years and for helping me take the training I needed to complete this mission. Jack Pursel and Lazaris for having created such wonderful material for me to learn over the years. To my mother, who invested so much in me by financing my education for so long. To my dad, from whom I learned the power of forgiveness. To friends, clients, students and fans who have supported me over the years and still do; you know I love you so much.

Finally, to my publisher iUniverse, and all the people who worked on the project with me: Tom Marquis, Publishing Consultant; Traci Anderson, Check-in Coordinator; Kevin J., Content Editor; D. Spindler, Developmental Editor; and Krista Hill, Editorial Consultant. Thanks for helping craft into words this magic that was in me and is now in the universe.

May this book open your mind to generate new possibilities for you to Consciously Create Success™!

    Introduction: The 7 Lost Senses

Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions. —Albert Einstein

Have you ever had an intuitive flash about a person or situation, positive or negative? Did you act on this feeling, or did you dismiss it because you felt it wasn’t tied to reality? In fact, you were basing this feeling on the information that came to you through the seven senses that lie beyond the five with which we are already familiar.

We often think of ourselves as standing in the river of time and space, but the truth is that they surround us. This means that if we train all of our senses, time and distance will no longer limit us. Every day, you gather a great deal of information from using the basic senses of sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. Imagine how much richer your world will be once you have learned how to access and interpret the information that always surrounds us but that we so rarely understand. A typical human being has 12 senses, or instruments.

    1. Sight—information gathered from light entering our eyes.

    2. Hearing—information gathered from sound waves entering our ears.

    3. Touch—information gathered from our skin interacting with our world.

    4. Taste—information collected by the cells on our tongue.

    5. Smell—the rich array of information gathered by our nose.

    6. The Sense of Imagination—sometimes called the sixth sense, it links the physical and the non-physical senses.

    7. The Sense of Balance—calibrates our inner and outer worlds. It works together with the sense of imagination to create a bridge between the first and last five senses.

    8. The Sense of Life—also called the sense of light and darkness, calibrates and observes the life force. It is linked to and connected to but does not involve sight. Its symbolic attribute is the solar plexus, the 3rd chakra.

    9. The Sense of Voice—this sense is attuned to both the voice of soul, the voice of passion and spiritual pain. It is also related but not linked to sound. Its symbolic attribute is the throat, the 5th chakra.

    10. The Sense of Movement—it corresponds to and is linked to smell; it has no boundaries. Its symbolic attribute is the root, the 1st chakra.

    11. The Sense of Warmth—it is linked to touch and can be calibrated through colour. Its symbolic attribute is the heart, the 4th chakra.

    12. The Sense of Substance—the sense of mattering, the sense of soul; it is connected to taste. Its symbolic attribute is the sacral, the 2nd chakra.

We use these last seven senses to access information beyond space and time. Psychics and mediums are simply people who have learned how to use these senses in a more conscious manner. It isn’t magic, any more than electricity is magic. With practice and time, you can acquire the skills that will allow you to see the future, know whether or not people are trustworthy and suggest actions that will bring about the greatest good. If this sounds daunting, remember that there were times in your life when you had to learn how to interpret the information brought in by the five physical senses, and you now use them so effortlessly.

If you walked into the kitchen and saw a glowing red spiral radiating heat, would you touch it? Your memories tell you that you are looking at a hot stove element, and your imagination provides the pain of touching it. But a baby sees an attractive shape and colour that, without a parent’s intervention, will probably lead him to touch the stove element, resulting in a burn. The information your senses give you has meaning because you can access past experience through memory and can see the likely outcome through imagination.

Your mind is an instrument that calibrates and observes your reality, and like any instrument, it performs better if it is lovingly cared for rather than neglected or abused. Think of it as finely wrought steel: it must be polished, sharpened, oiled and protected from the environmental extremes that harm it. Your mind can easily transcend time and space to synchronize with the future; the only reason it doesn’t do so now is because we filter out most of the information we take in, so as not to become too overloaded to function.

We are trained to pay the most attention to the information we gather through sight and hearing. Over the years our brains build up a huge reference library that allows us to quickly provide meaning to most of the data provided by our eyes and ears. But should these be taken away, most of us can still interpret data based on touch, smell and taste.

For the last decade, when I taught a course on how to open people’s mind to information provided by the seven lost senses, I began by asking students to close their eyes and extend a hand. I then placed an object in each person’s hand and asked them to describe it using touch, sound, and smell. It allowed students to become conscious of how they use their first five senses. In this exercises I ask the other students present to identify the object based on the description; usually they get it right. The person holding the object guesses it correctly, too, using imagination to interpret the data provided by the senses of touch and hearing. When you learn how to use your other, new senses, you will be able to interpret information that you currently don’t know how to access—information that will help you to build a happier, healthier and richer life. Countless students have told me that as they begin to use their seven lost senses, they begin to be able to read people more intuitively, become more confident and make decisions and choices with more detailed information that they could not have picked up on before. It also allows them to know more about the people they love and are trying to help.

Imagine being able to know in real time how your spouse, child or loved one is doing, or what people are thinking so that you can better help them. What would it look or feel like to know that you will be okay financially in the future, or that you will be able to foresee obstacles along your journey so that when they come, you can more effectively cope with them? That’s freedom—that’s being able to truly go beyond fear. Think about it: everything is related to self-esteem or confidence. The economy is directly related to your ability to anticipate and deal with the future and future trends.

    THE INSTRUMENTS WE USE

The instruments that we use to calibrate and observe our reality are our senses and our chakras. In this book, you will learn how to understand and use your seven lost senses. By becoming aware of developing these lost senses, you will be able to perceive a whole new reality and take it to the next level: that of consciously creating your own reality, the one that currently seems like an unattainable dream.

In order to better understand your senses, especially those in which you were not aware, you need to properly perceive your brain as an operating system, like Microsoft Windows or a Mac OS program that operates a computer. The operating system allows the computer to perform functions, but it is not the computer. Similarly, you are not your brain, and you are not your senses; you are not your body or your mind. These instruments are calibrated by you, which means that you use them to conceive and perceive your reality. You need to be willing to recognize this concept so that you can use your abilities to manage all your senses, both the physical ones and the seven new senses that give you access
