About this ebook

Our journey began on the beach in Hawaii, and our last aloha brought us full circle. The time spent in these years would make the walk worth it all. We traveled the globe, sent on a mission, fulfilling our destiny together. Now may the seeds we have planted bring forth a harvest. May the memories bring you encouragement also as you make a path for others to follow. Follow the path of the flock, as others have been there before to make your way easier.

    The Journey

"I n the beginning"—that’s how God says it. In the beginning, thirty-eight years ago, I chose a man to love, to honor, and to cherish for as long as we both might live with God’s help. We needed Him—oh, how we needed Him. Today is February 9, 2009, and I need to write this down before the shadows of my memory take away the awesomeness of this journey.

Married in Pearl City, Hawaii, and traveling the continents and islands because of military assignments, my husband, Eddie, and I were joined together as a team. Sometimes he got the assignments, but often I got the mission. The meeting place was Colorado Springs, but his proposal took us to his home in Hawaii.

Often no words needed to be spoken between us as we peered into the vastness of the Pacific together; the language of our hearts was understandable. At times, the waves were mighty. At other times, they kissed the shore ever so tenderly.

I would return one day, thirty-eight years later, to bid my last aloha to my beloved.

In 1978, on that very island, I was introduced to the Savior of my soul, Jesus Christ. Shortly thereafter, a very nice lady gave
