The Old House
All around age is showing
Images from little children’s imagination are faintly seen on the walls
The sun beaten wood
Chipping paint
Plants growing out of the foundation
Birds’ nests in the attic
A beehive in the corner of the porch ceiling
The door is loosened from its hinge
A creaky step
Over grown grass
Weeds all around
Shingles falling
Broken fence
Dust is collecting
Everything seems run down
Vines growing up the side
A For Sale
sign that has been faded
House fixing demanded
Yard work needed
A lonely old home…
Just needing time and care
Animals live here now
No human wants it
What is to happen to this place?
No idea
With everyday that goes by…
Another problem comes to into focus
The more condemned it becomes
No chance for being used again
Just a faint memory
Like a ghost town
No human life
Laughter a faint noise
This home needs mending
And the yard needs tending
But no one seems to need it
So he animals contain it
The house may seem worthless
But it has great qualities that have been covered by the lack of care
Loss of Breath
Time stood still…
For just a moment
And my heart felt like,
It had stopped beating
This world of our’s,
It stopped moving
For just a moment…
Time stood still
No Sign of Hope
Broken heart
A tear falling down the cheek
Fear filled eyes
No sign of hope
Loss of everything it seems
Long nights for nothing
Walking with no purpose
Not being able to think straight
June First Tornado
Western Mass;
The trees may have fallen
Buildings may be destroyed
Suffering may be felt right now
Devastation is all that can be seen
But we can make it through
We are stronger than we think
And we will find a way to move forward
Each day we move closer…
To a very well
And
New beginning
The sun will come out again
The days will become easier
Life will move forward
Loss of Someone Close
You closed your eyes,
Never to be opened again
The coldness of your corpse
It amazes me that you are gone
With that coldness of your body
All the other things I know of you
By the way you used to be
There is nothing now,
Just memories
Ones that will stay with me forever
They won’t ever be the same
Lost
Every form of life
No time to think
Everyone just going along as if there’s nothing
Nothing to do about it
All walking zombies
There’s no form of hope
The Cutting Edge
I cut one piece
And then another
First time is fine
The second not as elegant
It felt just like a paper cut
So I go to clean it
Just to put a wrapping on it
But oh no…
That would have been just swell
But not the luck today
Have to go and call my mother
Yes for the cut I thought…
It was not a scrape
More of a gouge
My left thumb
