Samantha is a wealthy young girl who has lived a very sheltered life, having the very best of everything that money could possibly buy, but deep down she was unhappy.
She may be rich and beautiful, but that didnt mean she had the respect and acceptance of her classmates at school.
No matter how hard she may try ignoring Tiffany and her mean friends, these girls would not stop making fun of her, until Tiffany went too far with her games and Samantha felt very hurt and angry.
Tiffany had her laugh and her fun, but Samantha will get even with her by creating her own game, Chains of Whispers.
What started off as a fun game of making fun of Tiffany quickly spiraled out of her control as her made-up lies about Tiffany grew worse.
Samantha thought she was in control of her own game, but she learnt very soon that making up untrue stories can really hurt Tiffany, but its too late!
She was no longer in control of her nasty game; instead somebody was taking control of Samantha and the richest girl in town better do what shes being told . . . or everybody will know about Chains of Whispers!

Once upon a time in a far away land tucked away in a quiet, small village called Kensington, there once lived a very wealthy merchant who went by the name of David Croft.

Like most wealthy people, David had the powerful connections in life thanks in part to his immense wealth, and on the surface he did in fact possessed all of the materialistic things that would make most people go green with jealousy.

He had a mansion, his own chauffer, an army of maids, cooks and servants to attend to his beck and call but no matter how rich David was, he simply wasn’t happy.

He was a widower, and he had the huge responsibility of raising his only daughter, Samantha, on his own as a single parent.

Not that he ever had to worry a thing in changing a smelly diaper!

With his wealth, David simply had all of the worlds’ best nannies to come knocking on his doorstep and so he had his daughter taken care of by a team of nannies while he went about his many business trips.

Perhaps he felt somewhat guilty by his frequent absence, David would make sure that his precious daughter was well taken care of and that meant spoiling her rotten!

You see, Samantha, upon looking at her at first glance, wasn’t your idea of an ordinary eight year old little girl.

She wore the most up to date fashions that are often seen in TV and magazine catalogues and this ranged from Louis Vuitton, Channel and Prada accessories.

She had her own Blackberry cell phone and she talked in advanced English, she appeared way much older than her tender years but just like her father, Samantha wasn’t happy.

She longed to have a special friend, but none of the kids in school or in her neighbourhood liked her.

If anything, they all hated and ignored her immensely since she was so spoiled and rich.

These kids were from middle class families and they all shopped at Target for their clothes and very few could afford to buy cell phones.

Samantha often felt very sad and lonely and she would spend most of her time watching MTV while she wasn’t at school or peek through her curtains to spy on other kids who played and laughed on the streets and she yearned to be just like them.

Samantha heavily spent most of her time chatting to her nanny Pam, the one person whom she had a very close relationship with.

To her, Pam wasn’t just a good friend but almost like a mother figure to Samantha because the lady understood her like no one else does.

But she understood that no matter how close they were, Pam was the hired help, and she was there to do her job and by the end of the day even Pam herself had her own family to go home to and so on many cold nights Samantha herself would find herself wondering around the huge mansion while her creepy housekeeper watches her every move at the front door, barely moving, as she herself moves up and down the hallways, shivering as her tiny footsteps echoed through-out the eerie quiet house and this frightens the little girl since all she wanted was to be around some people and to hear everyday chatter, voices even.

But as days went by, days became months and then years went by, she herself got used to the quiet house and to stay happy, she would play her favourite music in her bedroom and drift away in her own fantasy world-anything really, just to forget her daily loneliness.

While she was at school, she had to pretend not to be bothered by the cruel laughter and sniggering that always seemed to follow in her wake where-ever she went past her classmates.

She ate alone in the cafeteria and the kids would point at her and giggle and she felt this emptiness grow inside of her.

She never felt so alone and so different from other people but she was determined not to let these kids get to her.

    In her
