Inspirational Poems (Encouragement on Your Path of Life) is a book of poems and short stories to give you encouragement on your path of life. The Lord has already paved and predestined our path before we were born. All of us have a path that we have to take, whether one that we have made on our own, or the path that the Lord has chosen and He has paved for us. He does let us choose to what path will take. Although, the Lord wants us to choose and to stay on our right path, because He doesnt want any hurt or harm to come to us. We are His children and He always wants to protect us. Sometimes, we make our own lives more difficult than they have to be, by our own choosing. The Lord only wants the very best for His children, He even tells us so in His word. This is why we should always study His word and go to Him in prayer when we are not sure of the path that He wants us to take. Then, we will know that we are always on our right path of life that the Lord has already paved and predestined for us, even before our birth.

Mildred Marie Davis

The Lord gave Mildred Marie Davis her first two poems on September 22, 2003, for a men and women program at her church. A few months later, He guided her to have a book made, so they would be able to reach more people, and to help bring inspiration to those that needed it. Inspirational Poems (Encouragement on Your Path of Life) is also written to help you in your daily walk with the Lord, as well as, on your path of life that He has paved for you. Her parents, Mr. Jesse Lee Clark Sr., and Mrs. Charlotte Marie Bruton Clark, raised her. They are both up in heaven now with the Lord. She and her husband Charles have lived in Georgia for more than twenty-five years now, although in their hearts, they still consider North Carolina their home. They have three children: Naomi, Stephanie, and Charles Jr. Two granddaughters: Nadia and Aria Spencer. She is an inspirational and a motivational speaker, publisher author, wife, mother, and nana. Inspirational Poems (Encouragement on Your Path of Life) is Mildreds third published book.

I dedicate Inspirational Poems (Encouragement on Your Path of Life) to my two brothers: Mr. Jesse Lee Clark Jr. and Elder Kenneth E. Clark. My four sisters: Elder Barbara D. Clark, Mrs. Angela R. Mumford, Ms. Detrica A. Clark, and Mrs. Hazel Arnold. My Brother-in-law: Mr. Cedric Mumford. My two Sister-in-laws: Mrs. Geraldine Clark and Mrs. Linda Faye Clark. Also, to my other Mother and dear friend, my Mother-in-law, Mrs. Lula Jane Davis, and you have lived 86 God given years! Which, you knew me way before, Charles and I were married in Hawaii. When you first saw me, I was five years old with two pigtails plaits in my hair that touched my shoulders. As I walked around the collection page at the front of the church, which was Hickory Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Kinston, N.C., my home church during that time. As, I turned to go around it, I looked over at you and I gave you a big smile. Neither one of us knew, way back then, I would become your Daughter-in-law (your daughter), but God did. You have loved and cared about me for so many years. I am truly thankful, and I feel so blessed. You were always there for me, even before the Lord gave me my very first word for a poem. You were there when the sunshine beamed down and you were there when the rain poured down. You were there through the good times and the bad times, you were even there through the happiness and the sadness. I knew you were always there for me, but most of all, through your prayers.

We all know, life isn’t always easy, but God told us that He would be our savior, our comforter, a healer, our provider, and even a friend. We just need to call on Him and He will answer. We are God’s children, made from the same cloth, stitched with the same thread, we were made with God’s hands. It was all meant to be, because it was in God’s plan, for He had already planned our destinies. Thank you, for your love and support, for always being there for me. I know, there is a very special bond between us; even the miles can’t keep us apart in our hearts. You truly are a blessing in my life.

With a sincere heart. I love you all. May God give you many blessings, and lean on Him in your time of trouble and not on your own understanding, for He will give you strength.
