    INTRODUCTION

The truth of God’s word will only be applied to our lives if we sincerely believe these truths. The one sure way to be certain that what we believe is the truth is to seek it through God. This takes much time and determination on our part, but the sacrifice is well worth the outcome. The truth of the gospel is precious and priceless. It is vital that we be cleansed and purified by the truth of Jesus Christ. Not only do we need Jesus for spiritual endurance in this life, but, more importantly, we will need Him when we stand accountable before God in judgment.

The search for God’s truth may be understood by comparing it to finding seashells at the ocean:

Sometimes we have to wait patiently for them to wash up.

Sometimes we think we see one, until we get closer and find out it is something else.

Sometimes a distraction gets our mind away from the search.

Sometimes we look away and see something that seems to be more exciting, important, or bigger but will never know what we missed.

Sometimes darkness comes upon us and we can’t see.

Sometimes we are lazy and miss the best opportunities.

Sometimes we search in the incorrect direction or at the wrong time.

Sometimes we find one, but it has to be cleaned because of the debris attached to it.

Sometimes we pick up other objects and mix them with the shells, just to make it look like we have more.

We will settle for anything else, because we get tired and weary from searching.

WHAT GOD WANTS FROM US PERSONALLY

Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

There is a path or road God has prepared for each of His children. Each individual journey differs according to His purpose for our life. It is a way that Jesus has already traveled and laid out for us. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Once we find our own personal road and gain spiritual knowledge of God’s perfect will, it will lead us to abundant life. Our path is bound to have some curves to follow and mountains to climb. These times will always come with specific details to obey, but as long as we stay obedient to the Holy Spirit, we will never get lost or stray off course. God’s love will lead us to a place in our life where there is peace and perfect harmony. He loves us so much that He prepares us ahead of time for heartache, disappointment, and sickness by supplying strength for each of us. While He prepares provision and fulfils promises for us here, He also prepares a place in heaven for us. There is comfort in having this hope and in knowing that He is faithful in all of His promises. We can only reach and experience the completeness of God and His divine love by traveling the specific road at the precise time.

    GOD’S AMAZING GRACE

For the word of the Lord is right; and all His works are done in truth. Psalm 33:4

The love of God is so powerful and merciful that He allows an allotted time for all to receive His grace and truth. This time is different for each person and given according to God. The grace of God is greater than anything we could ever experience. Even self-righteous and false religious leaders have the same opportunity as a non-believer to accept Jesus as Savior because of this amazing grace period we live in.

For a new convert who has experienced grace and is in the transitional period of mind renewal, there is time allowed for staggering with mixed emotions and doubt. Low self-esteem, weak faith, lack of knowledge, and a feeling of spiritual unworthiness are a few things that can make it difficult to grow closer to God. Praise God that He is powerful enough to save and powerful enough to keep who He has saved. If we continue to trust Him and obey His word, we will grow into a deeper relationship with Him. Jesus is the completeness of grace and truth and through Him these are unlimited and available to us in the fullness extent. The Holy Spirit is constantly offering grace in every aspect of our life. Power to overcome sin and the devil’s afflictions is given to believers who accept His grace and abide in truth.

Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments are truth. Psalm 119:151
