About this ebook

***Book 1: A Collection of Short Stories***
Go to Paris, you'll find love!
I'm Jillian Moore. My entire life, I wanted to follow in my parents' footsteps and find true, long-lasting love, but unfortunately, it hasn't happened in the five years I've lived here. You'd think in a city with two million people, I'd have crossed paths with the perfect man. Huh! Who am I kidding?

However, things changed when I least expected it. I was literally knocked on my ass, but it wasn't by the sexy man with the gorgeous caramel eyes. No, I've been knocked over by a pint-sized, strawberry blonde.

Now I'm faced with a dilemma. Should I say TTYL
Paris, or should I see if my parents were right?

    TTYL Paris - Elaine Marie

    Prologue

MY NAME IS JILLIAN MOORE. I moved to Paris, the so-called city of love, five years ago after graduation. I was in search of the love and romance my parents once shared, and I thought living in the French capital would be an exciting way to immerse myself into the French lifestyle.

I grew up without my mother, but my father assured me time after time how much she loved me. I still love thinking of the stories he shared with me, but the one in particular I’m most fond of is how they met touring the Eiffel Tower. Because of internships that brought them to the city, they found themselves wrapped up in a whirlwind romance that morphed into long-term. It still amazes me despite the city having over two million people, they somehow met and fell in love.

I’m at a point in my life where I’m tired of being alone. I want to find a love like my parents shared. You’d think with as many people who live here it would be easy to find one decent guy, but it hasn’t happened yet.

All I’m looking for is a man who is straightforward, honest, and isn’t into playing games. I want someone who respects me and accepts me for who I am. Unfortunately, most guys my age aren’t looking for a long-term thing. They want a quick lay and the freedom of walking out the door never to hear from them again. Well, I say good riddance to those types.

Over the years I’ve maintained a positive outlook on life, but recently my luck took a dive for the worst. Today is no different than any other recent day. My life is going to the shitter. I’m a complete mess. An idiot ran a traffic light two days ago and totaled my car. The alarm I set for six-thirty this morning never went off and I was late for work. Mr. Franklin met me as I walked through the door and claimed my tardiness was unacceptable and fired me on the spot.

Despite my horrible luck, I’ve decided it’s time to turn a new leaf and find something different. It’s time to enjoy what I do instead of it being a hassle.

I’m a photographer and oil painter, and I used to love sitting back and making the canvas come to life. Lately, it’s felt more like work than pleasure. So, I’m going to take losing my job as a sign - better things are coming. If not, I’m packing up, going home and saying TTYL Paris!

    Chapter One

I STEP UP to the cafe counter and order a light and sweet coffee. After I place my order, I slide the newspaper beneath my arm and wait for the cute teen behind the counter to hand me my coffee. When he finishes the order, he winks at me and says, Enjoy, Mon Cheri. This is from Paris with love.

I blush, glance down at his name tag, and smile before I say, Thank you, Paris. I take the hot brew and find a seat in the lounge area.

After I settle into my seat, I watch Paris help other customers and wonder if I’m looking for men in the wrong age group. Who am I kidding? He’s way too young.

I turn my attention to the want ads in the paper and thoughtlessly grab my iPhone. After I skim the first two ads, I glance at the phone screen and see I have a message. I swipe the icon and wait for it to load.

J wants to connect with you.

Who the hell is J? Do I accept the request or is this another asshole who wants to send me a dick picture? I look at the information available. We have no friends in common. He claims to live in Paris. There are a few pictures of the museum, and the Eiffel Tower is his profile picture. It seems like a scam account so I ignore it and message Enrique.

Me: Got Fired. Need alcohol. Time and place?

Enrique is my best friend and lives in the flat next-door to me. He’s my constant…my reliable, and he always comes through when I need him. He is a lawyer and the man always looks like he is straight off the cover of GQ.

In fact, he recently landed a gig modeling for the Motorcycle Circuit with my college friend, Veronica. Lucky him. At any rate, he has brown hair with shaved sides and a shaggy on top. And his body…O!M!G! If he wasn’t gay, I’d ride him like he was my last rodeo. Whoever snags him will be a lucky man, but at the moment, he claims to be playing the field with every Tom, Dick and Harry he can get his hands on.

    My phone vibrates. It’s
