Trump Toons

Trump Toons features a look at President Trump in cartoons.  It combines a collection of 30 all-time favorite cartoons from several earlier books.  These include Trump Is an Animal!, comparing Trump to male animals fighting for power, women, and territory; Trump Is Nuts!, comparing Trump to a variety of nuts from peanuts to cashews and pecans, and Trump Is Extinct…or May Be Soon! comparing Trump to extinct animals from prehistorical fish and dinosaurs to early humans. 

          Trump Toons takes the best of these cartoons and combines them with some short snappy copy used in a social media campaign to promote this book.  The book is part of a series featured in the Who Is Trump Really? Facebook page devoted to a humorous take on the Trump presidency.  It's an approach inspired by the late night comics like Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, Bill Maher, Samantha Bee, and the SNL comedy show.

INTRODUCTION

TRUMP TOONS started out as a social media campaign based on sending out five tweets a week on four platforms - Facebooks, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn—for four weeks.  It started out as a humorous way to react to Trump’s presidency, which has become something of a circus, reality show, and the almost daily monolog of the major comics: Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Trevor Noah, Bill Maher, and others.  Then, the social media campaign was created to get people to become aware of a series of earlier books on the Trump campaign and presidency and come to the www.whoistrumpreally.com website.  This websites features all of the books I wrote about Trump starting in February 2016.
