A Reminder for Those out of Work and in Transition
At the end of the day you are still a spouse, parent, grandparent, child, baseball coach, or soccer dad or mom to those people who care most about you. Keep active in your previous interests during this phase of your life or you will miss the many blessings of living.
Remember that a portion of what you are is wrapped up in your job. But, it isn’t the total sum of who you are. Don’t let this situation sap you of your energy and your personality. Keep everything in perspective.
If you are active in your place of worship, maintain that enthusiasm. Maintain your friendships; get out of the house and explore new interests. Take walks with your family. Look upon this time of transition as a bump in the road, not the end of the road. Be patient; expect the best, and remember that you are not alone in your job seeking efforts.
