About this ebook

ARGENT, ARGAND,
TALLOW & WICK
By
N. ABEL MOSES

Poetry fl ourishes with nature along with the nuances
of light and color. It is a creation of intuition. The
poet observes empty spaces and romanticizes their
meaning, fascinated with their agility and freedom.
It is another dimension of sight. Without perception,
the object bores itself, and purpose remains
neglected. Imagination instinctively pursues an aura,
poetically fi xing moments as would a collector of
snowfl akes, preserving the occasion along with the
piece.

Poetry flourishes with nature along with the nuances

of light and color. It is a creation of intuition. The

poet observes empty spaces and romanticizes their

meaning, fascinated with their agility and freedom.

It is another dimension of sight. Without perception,

the object bores itself, and purpose remains

neglected. Imagination instinctively pursues an aura,

poetically fixing moments as would a collector of

snowflakes, preserving the occasion along with the

    piece.

Poets insist that the harmonic preceded all. Poetry

can wander without apparent reason, and loyally

refuse to be distracted. It can interrupt a

professor without apology, and accept the

most awkwardly innocent gifts and proudly wear

them regardless of fit. Poetry is the champion who

leaves immortal footprints, and it is the defenseless

garden that will seed its existence regardless of the

    intrusion.

Without the art of words, novel things repeat

themselves with monotony, cravings grind in circles

until they’ve sequestered their fascination within the

smallest of limits and the imagination is forced into a

maze from which it cannot comprehend a way out.

The winsome mission of civilization reaches beyond

the annexation of fire and the reigns of wind.

Humanity has perceived rainbows as bridges

and is forever in search of their building blocks.

These discoveries are the aspirations of poets and the

    inspiration in their sentimental keepsakes.

The wealth of words finds its ultimate place where

    un-surrendered meaning walks hand-in-hand with

innocent truth, together to win an inspirational

    bargain
