About this ebook
The times that have been foreseen, foretold and mostly feared have suddenly come upon us. These will prove to be times like no other in all of history. If God had intended for you to live during any other age, He would have arranged it. Yet from the foundation of the world, God has purposed that you would live on the earth during a time of both unprecedented deception and darkness, and yet unequaled grace and glory.
God has promised hope and help in troubled times. You may even discover that you were more prepared for these days than you had ever dreamed. Because the times that were to come, have come.David White

Introduction
The times to come have come, and they will prove to be times like no other in all of history!
This book was written for those called and chosen to live and participate in what will turn out to be the most trying yet glorious days anyone could imagine.
The same God, who has time and time again revealed His faithfulness to every generation since creation, will do so again in unprecedented fashion during the time known as and leading up to the end of the age. Opportunities will exist for every authentic follower of Jesus to rise up, walk out and demonstrate an extraordinary faith in what will be everything but ordinary times.
Furthermore, the purpose of this book is to offer hope in a world where darkness, deception and delusion is advancing on a scale unmatched since the serpent set out to deceive Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Finally, this book is not intended to be an exhaustive exploration of all that will occur at the end of the age nor was it written as a concentrated theological review on eschatology. More than anything else, the hope is that God would light a fire in the hearts of what will one day turn out to be the greatest generation to have ever lived upon the earth through both their words and deeds.
May God light this fire in you, and may you become all you have been called to be for a time like no other. Because the times that were to come, have suddenly come!

Dedication
This book is dedicated to my wife and best friend Shirley, who has been the fulfillment of the promise, He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord
(Proverbs 18:22).
I also dedicate this book to my son Joshua and my daughter Emily, who I earnestly pray and believe will be two of the many champions of the faith during the times in which this book discusses.
Finally, I dedicate this book to my dad who has demonstrated what it means to be an over-comer through his unwavering commitment and sacrificial love shown to my mom in her long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Special thanks to Linda Johnson, Eve Wickizer and Billy Durham for assisting in the editing of this book.
God has always had a voice for the hour and an hour for the voice.

CHAPTER ONE
It’s Game Time!
If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?
(Jeremiah 12:5)
Practice is over! Those where the words we longed to hear being shouted from our coach. Yet on one memorable occasion, hearing that announcement led to my feeling a sudden seriousness and deep sense of apprehension. Practice being over only meant that sooner than later, it would be game time.
Our team had advanced to play in the southern regional in Dallas, TX. On the line was a once in a lifetime opportunity to advance to the national championship in San Antonio. As game time drew nearer, I wondered if I was fully prepared. Did I have what it takes to compete at a championship level and against the best my sport had to offer? Could I rise to the challenge before me? Was I really ready?
The night before the big game everyone went to the local amusement park, but me. All I could think about was the game that was soon to begin. This was my chance to be a champion and to make others around me champions and I didn’t want this opportunity to pass me by. So I stayed behind, went to bed, and dreamt all night of doing whatever it takes to be a champion.
On paper we didn’t stand a chance of beating the team we were matched against. They were bigger, faster, more athletic, and to top it off they looked down right mean. Yet when the final buzzer had sounded, my questions had been answered. We had all played the game of our lives and would soon be on our way to the Alamo. We would be playing for a national championship.
As Jeremiah saw the prospering of the wicked and the seemingly unrestrained advancement of evil in his day, he could only ask the Lord, why? Jeremiah declared, Righteous are You, O Lord, when I plead with You; Yet let me talk with you about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are those happy who deal so treacherously?
(Jeremiah 12:1)
The Lord then answered Jeremiah’s question by reminding him that the challenges he had faced in the past only prepared him for the greater and more difficult ones soon to be revealed. He then asked Jeremiah if he was ready for what he was about to face when He said, If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?
(Jeremiah 12:5)
There has never been a period of time like right now. Nor has there ever been anybody on the earth exactly like you. These are the times the church has been waiting for and will discover has been prepared for.
The Apostle Peter admonishes those living in these times when he wrote, But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers
(I Peter 4:7). In other words it’s time to get serious because these are serious times. In many ways, we have been in the playoffs and have advanced past the regional. It’s now time for champions to emerge.
As Moses was delivered from Pharaoh’s charge against every Hebrew son who had been born in Egypt, and Jesus, who was rescued from Herod’s wicked decree in the districts of Bethlehem, so you too have been preserved and chosen to see and do things that even angels long to behold. Whether or not we are truly the generation to close out history, or simply here to make history, this is a time like no other in all of history. The souls of men and women as well as the destiny of entire nations hang in the balance.
Before you think this is just another book predicting the timing of the second coming of Jesus, please understand that although certainly a part, the second coming is not the primary subject. Jesus Himself said, But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only
(Matthew 24:36).
Although summed up in the Person of Jesus, the end of the age is about much more than a single event, but includes an examination of what life will be like during the closing of one age and the beginning of the one that all of creation has been longing for. Just the thought of an entire age coming to a conclusion can create all sorts of imaginations generated out of our own personal theology or experience. Yet when the season of the Old Covenant came to an end, the door was opened for a greater revelation to begin. Now, the greatest revelation of all is unfolding before us.
When John wrote the time is near
, while receiving what became the Book of Revelation on the Isle of Patmos, he also reminds us that it is Jesus, "who is and who
