Aaron-Jason Enous

My name is Aaron-Jason Enous. I grew up in a city, in the state of NY, called Schenectady. I gave my life over to Jesus, after he revealed himself to me. I was 17 then. Around that same time I picked up a bible, and tried to read it. It was a King James Version. After only reading about two verses, I stopped. It was too difficult. I couldn't understand the language, or anything else. Nothing in it made sense. So I closed the bible. Then I prayed, and this was my prayer. I told God, that I wanted to get too know him better, and I knew the only way to get too know him, was through his word. I asked him to give me the ability, to read it, so I could be closer to him. Then, by Faith, I opened it again. This time I read the entire book of Acts. God answered my prayer immediately. From that point, it was only a matter of time before I eventually, was able to read the whole bible. It was indeed through that process, that God revealed himself to me. Through his word. The revelations, in this book, are things, that God has shared about himself, too me, through his word. My life situation, wasn't the easiest growing up. I never met my biological father, and because of situations with my Mother ( whom too this day, I love very greatly), I was forced to leave home when I was sixteen. Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me. Just like in this scripture, God was with me, even when I didn't know him. He protected me and guided me, all throughout my troubled youth. God never took his hand off me, even when I was running in the completely wrong direction. Before I got saved, I was a wreck, I got in trouble at school, all the time. Eventually my behavior, got so intense, that I was forced from regular high school, into an alternative program (Too this day I am so grateful to God, for putting me their) After I got saved, everything changed. Daniel 10:19 says "And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened". By getting into God's word, I found the strength to overcome, any situation. His word healed me, just like it says in psalm 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. God’s word provided me with every answer, to every question. There was nothing I ever needed in life, that I couldn't find, in his word. Just like in this scripture from Daniel, God's word imparts strength into us. The more word, we have in us, the stronger we will be, when the enemy comes against us. Isaiah 59:19 When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. That standard that God, raises up against the enemy, is his word. All the help, and strength we will ever need, for any situation we will find in God's word. Now, I’m 23, and happily married. I have a bachelors degree in History, and am currently working on my Masters. I work full time, in the educational system. Helping disadvantaged youth, just like me. I would like to end this introduction to my book, by thanking two people, who really poured into my life. My Aunt Chris, and a Mentor Kent Hoffmen. Who never gave up on me, even when everyone else did. 2 Samuel 2:9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth. This scripture is a very special revelation, that God, was sharing with David, through the prophet Nathan ( 2 Samuel 2:7). One thing in this scripture, that makes it of particular importance, is the section, where God, declares to David, that he was with him, where ever he went.

    2 Samuel 2:9

And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

This scripture is a very special revelation, that God, was sharing with David, through the prophet Nathan ( 2 Samuel 2:7). One thing in this scripture, that makes it of particular importance, is the section, where God, declares to David, that he was with him, where ever he went.

When you start to read, about David’s life, you will learn, why this is such a powerful revelation. To understand it, let’s look at some things that David went through.

    1 Samuel 18:10

And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.

    18:11

And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.

So David, who at the time, was a very faithful man to King Saul ( 1 Samuel 19:10), had to avoid, being hit, by a Javelin, by the King who he served. After these events, David will eventually become a fugitive, being chased around by King Saul.

Eventually at the end of 1 Samuel, Saul dies, and at the beginning of 2 Samuel, David, is made king of Judah, and will go on to eventually be King over all twelve tribes in Israel ( 2 Samuel 5:3). But, the interesting question is, if God was with David, why did he allow Saul, to persecute David like that?

When we look at the scripture, God’s hand in David’s life becomes very apparent. Imagine, David was playing his harp, and literally, without any pre warning, Saul, throws a Javelin at him.

    1 Samuel 1:23

Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.

How does a man, who is swifter than an eagle, and stronger than a Lion, not hit his target, who is playing a harp, right in front of him? This doesn’t happen. Saul, was a man of war, who had fought many battles. But yet, he missed. He missed because, God was with David. God, stopped, that spear, from doing any harm, to David’s life. David demonstrates his understanding of this principle in 2 Samuel 22:3

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Just like David say’s, the Lord saved him from violence.

We can look at our own lives and see the same thing. Sometimes we, get caught up in the fact that Saul threw the spear. By this I mean, we can’t see past the damage that the enemy is trying to do, in our lives. To see the salvation that God is bringing. Instead of always looking at what happened. Sometimes, we need to acknowledge what didn’t happen. We need to acknowledge,

    Romans 8:27

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

We need to remember that, no matter, how hard the enemy comes out against us. We are able to triumph over it all.

    Psalm 34:19

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

That word all means, everything the enemy can throw at us. There is nothing, that the enemy can come against us with, that God won’t deliver us out of. He will deliver us out of anything, and everything, the enemy brings against us.

This is what God means, when he said he was with David, where ever David went. His hand was protecting David, from whatever the enemy was throwing at him. God doesn’t always stop the enemy, from coming after us. But, when the enemy does come in, God protects us, just like he protected David.

We can’t think sometimes, that when things start going wrong, that God has abandoned us. We can’t look at our situations, and judge what God is doing in our lives based off of them. We must believe, and hold on to God’s word despite, what our current situation is telling us. The King of Israel in 2 Kings 3rd chapter, made this mistake.

Three kings had went off to battle. The king of Israel, Judah, and Edom (2 Kings 3:9). When they couldn’t find any water, the King of Israel
