Releasing Your Faith Through the Word

About this ebook
This book is a must read. The author is one of the most provocative pastors in America. He is not well-known; neither does he desire to be. He is one of few pastors who totally depend on the Lord for every word spoken and every word preached. You see, not only is Pastor Ardoin totally dependent on God, but the reason is thought-provoking. Pastor Ardoin, from humble beginnings, quit school to work in the fields of Louisiana to help support his younger siblings. When he was accepted by Christ into the family of God, he could not read, making him totally dependent on man to quench his hunger and thirst for the Word. Once he realized that depending on man was not good, he beseeched God to teach him. His desire was to only be able to read God's Word. God heard his servant and taught him to read His Word. To this day, Pastor Ardoin can only read the Bible, no other book. He depends totally on God and whatever Word He would have him speak. When he speaks, the Word is as an oracle of God. Unable to research or read others' opinions of the Word, he cannot alter what God has to say. The words written in this book are a few of many messages given to him by way of the Holy Spirit. He does not change God's message. His messages are awe-inspiring and thought-provoking. This book will not tickle your ear but give you truth straight from the Man Himself, God. His decision to publish is to be able to reach more with the truth. Many believe truth is relative, but Pastor Ardoin believes truth to be absolute when it is based in the Word of God. Releasing Your Faith through the Word is completely Word-based (Bible) and Spirit-led. In the words of our Lord, "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Preface
Five years ago, the Lord laid upon my heart to start writing down the teachings of my father, Pastor Wilbert J. Ardoin. At that time, I really did not know why, but in obedience, I began to type the message he would bring on Sunday mornings and post them online. This appeared to be a simple enough undertaking that I felt honored to do and I hoped it would help spread the Word of God. As the years went by, the messages began to reach more and more people. The Lord gave me another task, which is to take these messages and start compiling them into books in order to reach more of His children. When I began this task, a feeling of doubt formed, and the enemy came at me full force. It seemed as if my life started to fall apart before I could begin! One thing after another would come up, and when I thought it was over, I found myself being hindered by something else. The enemy was trying to stop me at all cost! Now, I must admit my personal decisions had a lot to do with it also, and what I thought was a strong faith turned out to be fool’s gold and just arrogant pride. It was not until I came to the brink of losing all that God had given me that I found out what true faith really is. In writing and compiling the teachings of my father in this book, I took a journey through past teachings that my father had given that I had forgotten. My faith was weak because I, in my pride, had starved it nearly to death. Some may ask, How can this be when you were the one writing it down?
Well, that is where the enemy comes in and feeds your pride, causing you to believe you have it all down and stored, when in reality, it is just as important for you to read it, as it is for those whom you are trying to reach.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God
(Romans 10:17).
My father, Pastor Wilbert Ardoin, believed in this wholeheartedly. When he started our church back in 1989, it was with complete and utter faith that God had called him to do so. This was a man who had completely given all of himself over to the Lord for wisdom and guidance. Before coming to the Lord in the early eighties, my father could not read or write well, and even though he had managed to start and operate his own business, everything had to be read to him. After finding Christ, he purchased the complete KJV Bible on audiotape and would listen to it day and night. It was not until he was invited to read a scripture at a church conference of about five hundred attendees that God opened my father’s understanding and demonstrated the power of faith. Keep in mind, this was a man who could not really read or write, but at that moment, the Holy Spirit opened his understanding, and he began to read the Word with perfect diction!
Faith is not just some Christian spiritual slogan or badge we wear, but it is the very foundation of life itself. Without it, we cannot possibly navigate through this world living and fulfilling the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength
(Philippians 4:13).
This scripture is impossible to believe and live without faith! Personally, I believe that this was the very scripture that was going through my father’s mind the night he read the Word of God for the first time. I now know that anytime I am faced with adversity or obstacles in my life, the Holy Spirit brings it back to mind. My hope and prayer is that, after reading and taking on this journey of releasing your faith, you will experience the same confirmations and miracles that many men and women of God across the globe have. Having an ultimate understanding of what true faith is and how it is applied in our daily Christian lives will open doors to a better relationship between you and God. This is the Father’s wish for us and the entire purpose of our creation. Start this journey now and release your faith through the Word.
Introduction
A lot of times, people think faith is just saying it and moving on. Many are confused about the concept of faith or do not understand its true meaning and purpose. The use of the word faith is thrown around without understanding in many churches today, without explanation. This is the work of the enemy, having people think they have wisdom and knowledge, when, actually, they are far from it.
There is a war between God and spiritual wickedness concerning all of us. The devil uses confusion and the draw of the world to strike at the people of God. This is why understanding the purpose of faith is important. It is not so that you can manifest a fine house or fancy car into existence by speaking of it. It is also not so a person can pray for a good-paying job, have faith in it, and God should make it come to pass. These are selfish and worldly inquiries that have nothing to do with the kingdom of God. The purpose of faith is the proving of or exercise of our belief in Christ Jesus. He is our advocate, our bridge over the gap that sin has created between us and the Heavenly Father.
We must be hearers and doers of the Word.
God knows His children. He knows their temperament and abilities. The Father will provide for His children, individually, what they need and can handle. Not everyone can handle a fine house, nice car, and wealth. Our faith is not in the things we want God to provide for us, but in what He does provide. The Word says be content in where you are, and God will make a way (Hebrews 13:5). It is not for us to go out and purchase our worldly desire, and claim faith in God to be able to pay for them. This is foolish in nature and against scripture. For when the enemy took Christ to the pinnacle on top of the temple and told Him to cast Himself off for God will send the angels to minister to Him, Christ answered, Do not test the Lord thy God
(Matthew 4:1–11). We are not to test God by getting ourselves in situations that we believe God should rescue us from. Christ’s faith was in the Father, as our faith should also be in the Father. Jesus walked the earth being provided for, as well as providing for others through the faith He had in the Heavenly Father. This was the example of true faith, that we are to depend on the Lord our God for all our needs, and He is faithful.
"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and
