    Acknowledgments

I wish to thank my church, my family, and many friends and loved ones for their prayers, assistance, and faithful support.

I realize how important each one is in the work of God. I give special honor and thanks to Joyce Griffith, who has been a tremendous help and blessing to me in God’s work. She has always been a true friend to me and God’s people and has worked diligently and faithfully in the church ministry of Victory Fellowship in Marietta, Georgia. Her life is exemplary of the character of one serving God.

I am also thankful for my friends in Bryson City, North Carolina, and for their contributions to make this book possible. I could mention numerous names, but I wish especially to thank Gene and Dellene Evans for their financial support toward this book.

Special thanks to Robin Beard for the beautiful painting she did for the cover of this book. In the painting, the water flowing from the falls magnificently depicts the mighty streams of God’s awesome Spirit of glory and marvelous grace flowing to us.

    About the Author

    The Water of Life

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly, shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified) (John 7:37–39). He gave an invitation to those who would receive Him as the living water. He would be in them, not only as a spring or fountain, but also as a river.

The Lord declares there will be a flowing of rivers from the innermost being. This river of God will continue to flow until everything in us is brought in submission to the river. His Spirit will flow through yielded vessels, bringing complete and total victory.

It is not what man can do, but it is the anointing and presence of God that is needed today to deliver and cause creation to be set free into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Isaiah speaks of the river flowing in the desert place. The river will flow in the desolate heights and cause His life to be known. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert (Isaiah 35:6).

"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God" (Isaiah 35:1–2).

There will be the manifestation of the myrtle tree and other trees which grow because of the river flowing in the dry places. The dry ground will become a well-watered garden. It is in His garden where the planting of the Lord takes place.

"Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; to show that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him" (Psalm 92:13–15).

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of trouble. Therefore will not we fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

There is a river, the steams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early" (Psalm 46:1–5).

Here we see the river is flowing through the city of God. The inhabitants of the city will not fear, but will realize God is in her midst and will be the help and deliverance that is needed to keep the city safe from all harm, danger, and any lack.

He is in the midst of His people. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will rejoice over thee with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).

Fear is no longer in the city, but has been replaced by God’s love. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear hath torment, he that feareth is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:18). This love is manifest in our lives because the
