Valerie Parker is a writer, photographer, homeschool mom and artist. She and her husband and two children live on a small, diverse permaculture farm in Vermont where they grow organic fruits, herbs and vegetables. She breeds registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats that are hand raised and are as loving and sweet as puppy dogs. Their farm menagerie also includes chickens, cats, Holland Lop bunnies and a beloved farm dog named Annie, who is the star of another one of Valerie’s books The Adventures of Sweet Meadows Farm: Annie the Farm Dog Helps Out. She has also written a sequel to Sweet Bleats called Sweet Bleats, The Bleatquel.

Valerie Parker

Valerie Parker is a writer and photographer, and the owner of Sweet Meadows Farm in Northern Vermont. She lives with her husband and two children, whom she homeschools (they are also both writers). On their homestead farm, Valerie breeds registered Nigerian Dwarf goats on a small scale that are hand-raised and super friendly. In addition to Annie and the goats, their farm menagerie also includes chickens, bunnies and four cats. The Parker family grows many different kinds of fruits and vegetables on their homestead, and utilize organic and permaculture concepts in everything they do. Valerie is the author of three books: Sweet Bleats, Sweet Bleats, The Bleatquel and The Adventures of Sweet Meadows Farm: Annie the Farm Dog Helps Out. She also sells her original natural fiber crafts, art and photography locally.
