The Adventures of Sweet Meadows Farm: Annie the Farm Dog Helps Out
()
About this ebook
Annie is no ordinary dog. She is the farm dog at Sweet Meadows Farm in Vermont. She helps feed and care for the animals, and knows a lot about her farm friends. She also works in the garden, planting and harvesting herbs, and knows a lot about sustainability and growing healthy food. Although she is very small, her help is so important and she loves her family, farm friends, and of course, her ball! Come and help Annie with her farm chores!
Valerie Parker is a writer and photographer, and the owner of Sweet Meadows Farm in Northern Vermont. She lives with her husband and two children, whom she homeschools (they are also both writers). On their homestead farm, Valerie breeds registered Nigerian Dwarf goats on a small scale that are hand-raised and super friendly. In addition to Annie and the goats, their farm menagerie also includes chickens, bunnies and four cats. The Parker family grows many different kinds of fruits and vegetables on their homestead, and utilize organic and permaculture concepts in everything they do. Valerie is the author of two other books: Sweet Bleats and Sweet Bleats, The Bleatquel and also sells her original natural fiber crafts, art and photography locally. Outside of writing, photography, farm and homeschooling, Valerie loves to write poetry, needle felt, sing and play the ukulele.
