- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book covers the traditional nursery rhymes learned by most children early in childhood such as Pat-a-Cake, Rock-a-bye baby and the favorite Little Bo-Peep looking for her lost sheep. The book has many simple illustrations that relate to the poems, especially the comical ones as the mouse running up the clock. I love Mother Goose stories because they stay with you no matter how old you get. I remember the first time I read one of her nursery rhymes and heard it in a song. Those rhymes have stayed with me for years. This book can be used to display a poem or verse in the classroom a day and they can discuss the many ways the poem can be changed or it can be used in Music seeing as how a couple of the verses have indeed been transformed into songs
