Married Out of Obedience I - P Lanette Pinkard
Acknowledgements – His
This is a mind-boggling moment for me. This is the time where I dedicate and thank individuals for their roles in helping us start what is now our 13 years of marriage.
First, thank you GOD for knowing what is best for me. Thank you for making sure I knew what this was, even though my comprehension level was at a negative 100! I want to thank my One Heart, my L’Dodi (Beloved), P. Lanette Pinkard for being so in tune with the will of GOD, hearing HIS voice, and doing everything she knew to do in an attempt to make the transition for me a little easier.
I want to thank Pastor Willie Myles for being willing and obedient to sit with us for our weeks of marital counseling when no one else would.
To Bridgett Crutchfield, Pastor Jeanena Wilson and Pastor Leticia Bryson: There are very few words I can express for what you saw, heard, believed and spoke into our lives from the very start.
To the pastor and staff of Greater Love Tabernacle: You said it had to be GOD and believed with us as you allowed us to have our Wedding of Worship at your anointed facility. To my brother, Kevin Pinkard, thank you for all your help and standing next to me as my best man. To my spiritual brother, Neco Marine, you took time to help keep me grounded (even though you wouldn’t help me build the Hoopa) and reminded me why I was doing this.
Lastly, I want to thank our daughters, Jasmine Taylor and Joslynn Thomas. Jasmine, GOD touched your heart and, even though Lanette and I had 30 days of confirmation, your believing in this was absolutely priceless. Joslynn, you were the last one at home with your mom before I came along and you received me with open arms. Your prophetic gift was used to confirm this was GOD. Thank you for allowing me to become D2.

To my husband, T’challa , I thank you for your courage and the courage you gave me to write the beginning of our story. I'm thankful that, together, we share the laughter, the tears and the love. We knew from the beginning this wouldn't be easy, but with Holy Spirit as our guide, we’re making it through. I love you One Heart.
To our pastors and spiritual parents, Apostle Rudy Ellis and Pastor (Momma Lois): One believed and one of you didn't want to, but you both came to know and understand our marriage was the hand of GOD. Thank you for all that you've taught us and the example you've shown us through your lives. You are an amazing gift from the Lord.
To my sons, Gary and Ken E: You stood by me, even when you didn't understand. As I dealt with so many different adversities, you stood firm and supported me because you knew I heard the voice of GOD.
To my daughter, Joslynn: You knew immediately and you were not moved at your young age of 11 years old, nor were you taken by surprise. You, too, heard Holy Spirit speak and helped me to stay grounded as I struggled with the truth that I was indeed supposed to marry this man.
Gary, Ken and Joslynn: You are true treasures to your mama's heart. I love you immeasurably. To my bonus children, Jasmine, Acacia, Delano and Mitchell:
Jasmine, you came angry, but learned to forgive. You came doubting, but came to believe. You came guarded, but ran into love. Love led you to confront, to forgive, to believe and trust. And now, you are a rock for us. You are our beloved eldest daughter in this blended family. Thank you for always having our back.
Acacia, you were so angry at your father, yet you received and accepted me from the very beginning, even though you doubted the marriage would last. You are one of the greatest inspirations to witness how GOD's love will penetrate a heart, consume a heart, change a heart and help you love. GOD’s love brought about forgiveness and restored what seemed to be lost to a beautiful relationship—one that is getting better all the time between father and daughter! We love you.
Delano, it took you a while, but you came around. You kept your distance for a time. You waited, you watched and you saw. Now you, too, are with us. We love you, son. Mitchell, my beloved son, you are still yet distant.
The man you are so angry at is inside of you, waiting to be set free. There’s so much purpose you yet don't see. But son, we love you and we are waiting for you with open arms.
To my best friend, Felicia, and my spiritual daughter, Bridgett: Thank you for the strength to walk this out from the beginning. You knew and believed immediately. You never turned back, even when I was hurt. I love you so much.
To one of my interceding spiritual mothers, Stephanie
T. and my dear, beloved friend and sister in Christ, Cymantha-Jewel: The two of you prayed this marriage into fruition. When you spoke to me about praying for a husband, I didn't want to hear it. However, you prayed anyway and spoke to the heart of GOD. He listened. I didn't appreciate it then; I love you so much for it now.
To all my sisters in Christ, mentors and spiritual children: Your support, your love and your words of encouragement are all a part of my ability to get through what was so unbelievable! To all of those who were against our marriage, who didn't believe we heard from the Lord, those who turned on us and were used by the enemy in an attempt to hurt us, defame our character, kill, steal from our obedience,
