About The King James Bible

The King James Bible is often referred to as the King James Version (KJV). There are slightly different versions of the King James Bible and in this e-book we use the King James Pure Cambridge Version which we call KJB for short. The following information is an excerpt from Wikipedia:

King James Version - General History: The King James Version (KJV), also known as the Authorized Version (AV) or King James Bible (KJB), is an English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England begun in 1604 and completed in 1611. In 1612, the first King James Version using Roman Type was issued. This quarto version is only second to the 1611 folio KJV. First printed by the King's Printer Robert Barker, this was the third translation into English to be approved by the English Church authorities. The first was the Great Bible commissioned in the reign of King Henry VIII (1535), and the second was the Bishops' Bible of 1568. In January 1604, James I convened the Hampton Court Conference where a new English version was conceived in response to the perceived problems of the earlier translations as detected by the Puritans, a faction within the Church of England.

James gave the translators instructions intended to guarantee that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology and reflect the episcopal structure of the Church of England and its belief in an ordained clergy. The translation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from Greek, the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew and Aramaic text, while the Apocrypha was translated from the Greek and Latin. In the Book of Common Prayer (1662), the text of the Authorized Version replaced the text of the Great Bible – for Epistle and Gospel readings (but not for the Psalter which has retained substantially Coverdale's Great Bible version) and as such was authorized by Act of Parliament. By the first half of the 18th century, the Authorized Version had become effectively unchallenged as the English translation used in Anglican and Protestant churches, other than for the Psalms and some short passages in the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England. Over the course of the 18th century, the Authorized Version supplanted the Latin Vulgate as the standard version of scripture for English-speaking scholars. With the development of stereotype printing at the beginning of the 19th century, this version of the Bible became the most widely printed book in history, almost all such printings presenting the standard text of 1769 extensively re-edited by Benjamin Blayney at Oxford; and nearly always omitting the books of the Apocrypha. Today the unqualified title 'King James Bible' commonly identifies this Oxford standard text.

Pyhä Raamattu, yleisesti myös Raamattu sekä evankelis-luterilaisen kirkon käyttämissä yhteyksissä myös vanha kirkkoraamattu on Raamatun suomennos, joka otettiin käyttöön kokonaisuudessaan vuonna 1938. Tämä raamatunkäännös on käytössä paikoittain nykyäänkin ja se on tekijänoikeuksista vapautettu teos.Kirkkohistorian professori Simo Heinisen mukaan Mikael Agricolan käännöstyön jälki näkyi vielä vuoden 1938 Raamatussa. Rovasti ja kirjailija Risto Santala kirjoittaa vuoden 1938 käännöksestä: Edellisen Kirkkoraamattumme kielellinen ja merkitysopillinen taso ovat olleet niin kovaa luokkaa, että sitä voitaneen pitää yhtenä maailman parhaista käännöksistä.

Käännöksen tekeminen kesti 80 vuotta ja sen aikana myös osa käännökseen kohdistuneista vaatimuksista ja tavoitteista muuttui. Käännöskomitea asetettiin Keisarillisen Suomen senaatin(johdossa Aleksanteri II ja Johan Mauritz Nordenstam) päätöksellä 11. huhtikuuta 1861. Siihen kuului arvovaltaisia jäseniä, kuten professori A. Our Bible Introduction

Gods word is surely the most wonderful and astounding text given mankind throughout all time. Only a thourough study of it can unlock its secrets. We believe it is critical, not just in this time and age, to understand Gods nature. At present everything seems to be upside down, where good is bad and bad is good. Our direction and compass is knowing God wrote His word to stand the test of time since He clearly wrote it prophetically, seeing the end from the beginning. How do we know? We know because He has confirmed many of the events that are happening in the world and have happened even within our own small lifespan. God has spoken of and prophecied about world wide events in The Bible and these prophecies are unique. You will not find anything like The Bible on planet Earth with such mindblowing accuracy and precision. But on a smaller level, each man and woman needs to make up their mind and walk out that which God tells them. That is when we have the signs and wonders following, by acting upon and putting our trust in The word of God, The Bible. It is indeed written that Jesus Christ is the author of our faith and what more can we ask for. I have personally seen people healed from incurable sicknesses such as HIV. Through the authority Jesus gave us I have cast out Demons, seen metal disappear from a body and be replaced with normal bones. I have set people free from the smallest sickness to terminal sickness and I can testify of the immense joy that follows a battle fought and won! There are many witnesses of the signs and wonders that will happen to anyone who choose to believe God and dares to walk the talk. Surely, The Body of Christ is active and alive and God is good to His children! But we need to heed His word and seek the knowledge He has for us. Not just through the word, but through closeness with God and active fellowship with our brothers and sisters. The Holy Spirit will always confirm The Truth that Jesus Christ of Nazareth wants to share with us.

But do not just take this for granted. Gods word can surely be dug into, tested, verified and found worthy. But for you to incorporate it into your life and see the reality of it, requires faith. Living faith, not dead faith. A heartbeat at a time, day by day, feeding upon The Word of God and enjoying the fruit of The Spirit. When we ask God, pursuit the truth He has set before us, He will surely answer in time. Do not think it will lead you to nowhere, cause it will not. This is not just some senseless gong ho as unbelievers will have it, sprinkled with nice stories of miracles and what not. Far from it. We have seen this time and time again. The truth is singular and our creator is true and The One and only I AM. There are no multiple Gods here, that is a lie from the devil. Neither is God a floating self-aware entity made up by every living being. Earth, or Gaia as many calls it is a fiction and a fairytale. How we have stumbled, fallen and seen death all around us, but never did it enlighten us until Jesus Christ of Nazareth came and showed us the truth and nothing but the truth. He is surely the way, the truth and the life. Unless a person walks it out according to Gods knowledge, that person will continue sleepwalking until the very end. Such an end would be sad to say the least. Wake up now and taste the goodness of God and draw close to Him and He will draw close to you! And if you have already woken up, but are walking around feeling sleepy: *fight* in order to not fall asleep again, seek Father with all your heart, mind and soul and be vigilant in doing so! Even so, I must admit I have no clue as to how God has managed to put together The Bible in the way He has. To my own intellect I looked at The Bible as flawed, beyond repair and full of tairytales. But that was before I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and experienced the power of God through an evangelist who took The Bible literal. The signs and wonders have not stopped since. Not because of me, but because God never changes and He has clearly showed that He wants everyone saved! Hands down, this is the best news I have ever heard and experienced! Love your God with all your heart, with all your might and everthing you are and you will surely conquer whatever comes against you, no matter the size or seeming severity. God seeks your heart, your attention and your affection. Through Him you will overcome the desires and the lusts of this world and live a life of abundance into eternity.

Please forgive me for being so blunt and straight forward. I sincerely wish for you all to be and walk in the blessing God has for you. Some of you are even walking in what feels like a desert, but remember that God will chastise those He loves. Not because He hates us, on the contrary. He is our Father if we let Him, and He will always see to it that as long as we listen to Him we will carry more fruit. And sometimes a time in the desert is needed. Even so, please fear not, because God is surely on your side when you seek Him with all your heart. Surely nothing is impossible with our Father in heaven. If He has spoken it will come to pass! All Glory to God!!

kjb And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Matthew 2 :1

kjb Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Matthew 2 :2

kjb Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Matthew 2 :4

kjb And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

pyr Ja hän kokosi kaikki kansan ylipapit ja kirjanoppineet ja kyseli heiltä, missä Kristus oli syntyvä.

kjb And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

Matthew 2 :6

kjb And thou Bethlehem, [in] the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

pyr 'Ja sinä Beetlehem, sinä Juudan seutu, et suinkaan ole vähäisin Juudan ruhtinasten joukossa, sillä sinusta on lähtevä hallitsija, joka kaitsee minun kansaani Israelia'."

kjb Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

pyr Silloin Herodes kutsui salaa tietäjät tykönsä ja tutkiskeli heiltä tarkoin, mihin aikaan tähti oli ilmestynyt.

Matthew 2 :8

kjb And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found [him], bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

pyr Ja hän lähetti heidät Beetlehemiin sanoen: Menkää ja tiedustelkaa tarkasti lasta; ja kun sen löydätte, niin ilmoittakaa minulle, että minäkin tulisin häntä kumartamaan.

kjb When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

pyr Kuultuaan kuninkaan sanat he lähtivät matkalle; ja katso, tähti, jonka he olivat itäisillä mailla nähneet, kulki heidän edellään, kunnes se tuli sen paikan päälle, jossa lapsi oli, ja pysähtyi siihen.

kjb And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

pyr Niin he menivät huoneeseen ja näkivät lapsen ynnä Marian, hänen äitinsä. Ja he lankesivat maahan ja kumarsivat häntä, avasivat aarteensa ja antoivat hänelle lahjoja: kultaa ja suitsuketta ja mirhaa.

kjb And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

tha และพวกนักปราชญ์ได้ยินคำเตือนจากพระเจ้าในความฝัน มิให้กลับไปเฝ้าเฮโรด เขาจึงกลับไปยังบ้านเมืองของตนทางอื่น

Matthew 2 :13

kjb And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

kjb When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Matthew 2 :15

kjb And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

pyr Ja hän oli siellä Herodeksen kuolemaan asti; että kävisi toteen, minkä Herra on puhunut profeetan kautta, joka sanoo: Egyptistä minä kutsuin poikani.

kjb Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

pyr Silloin Herodes, nähtyään, että tietäjät olivat hänet pettäneet, vihastui kovin ja lähetti tappamaan kaikki poikalapset Beetlehemistä ja koko sen ympäristöstä, kaksivuotiaat ja nuoremmat, sen mukaan kuin hän oli aikaa tietäjiltä tarkoin tiedustellut.

kjb Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

kjb In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping [for] her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

pyr Ääni kuuluu Raamasta, itku ja iso parku; Raakel itkee lapsiansa eikä lohdutuksesta huoli, kun heitä ei enää ole.

kjb Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

pyr ja sanoi: Nouse, ota lapsi ja hänen äitinsä ja mene Israelin maahan, sillä ne ovat kuolleet, jotka väijyivät lapsen henkeä.

kjb And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

kjb But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

pyr Mutta kun hän kuuli, että Arkelaus hallitsi Juudeaa isänsä Herodeksen jälkeen, niin hän pelkäsi mennä sinne. Ja hän sai unessa Jumalalta käskyn ja lähti Galilean alueelle.

kjb And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

pyr Ja sinne tultuaan hän asettui asumaan kaupunkiin, jonka nimi on Nasaret; että kävisi toteen, mikä profeettain kautta on puhuttu: Hän on kutsuttava Nasaretilaiseksi.

kjb In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

kjb But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

kjb Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

kjb And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

pyr Älkääkä luulko saattavanne sanoa mielessänne: 'Onhan meillä isänä Aabraham'; sillä minä sanon teille, että Jumala voi näistä kivistä herättää lapsia Aabrahamille.

kjb And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

kjb I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:

pyr Minä kastan teidät vedellä parannukseen, mutta se, joka minun jäljessäni tulee, on minua väkevämpi, jonka kenkiäkään minä en ole kelvollinen kantamaan; hän kastaa teidät Pyhällä Hengellä ja tulella.

Matthew 3 :12

kjb Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

pyr Hänellä on viskimensä kädessään, ja hän puhdistaa puimatanterensa ja kokoaa nisunsa aittaan, mutta ruumenet hän polttaa sammumattomassa tulessa."

Matthew 4 :1

kjb Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

kjb The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

kjb And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

kjb Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Matthew 5 :18

kjb For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

pyr Sillä totisesti minä sanon teille: kunnes taivas ja maa katoavat, ei laista katoa pieninkään kirjain, ei ainoakaan piirto, ennenkuin kaikki on tapahtunut.

tha เพราะเราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ถึงฟ้าและดินจะล่วงไป แม้อักษรหนึ่งหรือจุดๆหนึ่งก็จะไม่สูญไปจากพระราชบัญญัติ จนกว่าจะสำเร็จทั้งสิ้น

Matthew 5 :19

kjb Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

pyr Sentähden, joka purkaa yhdenkään näistä pienimmistä käskyistä ja sillä tavalla opettaa ihmisiä, se pitää pienimmäksi taivasten valtakunnassa kutsuttaman; mutta joka niitä noudattaa ja niin opettaa, se pitää kutsuttaman suureksi taivasten valtakunnassa.

kjb For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

pyr Sillä minä sanon teille: ellei teidän vanhurskautenne ole paljoa suurempi kuin kirjanoppineiden ja fariseusten, niin te ette pääse taivasten valtakuntaan.

kjb Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

tha ท่านทั้งหลายได้ยินว่ามีคำกล่าวในครั้งโบราณว่า `อย่ากระทำการฆาตกรรม' ถ้าผู้ใดกระทำการฆาตกรรม ผู้นั้นจะต้องถูกพิพากษาลงโทษ

kjb But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

pyr Mutta minä sanon teille: jokainen, joka vihastuu veljeensä, on ansainnut oikeuden tuomion; ja joka sanoo veljelleen: 'Sinä tyhjänpäiväinen', on ansainnut suuren neuvoston tuomion; ja joka sanoo: 'Sinä hullu', on ansainnut helvetin tulen.

kjb Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

kjb Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

kjb Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

pyr Suostu pian sopimaan riitapuolesi kanssa, niin kauan kuin vielä olet hänen kanssaan tiellä, ettei riitapuolesi vetäisi sinua tuomarin eteen ja tuomari antaisi sinua oikeudenpalvelijalle, ja ettei sinua pantaisi vankeuteen.

Matthew 5 :28

kjb But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

pyr Mutta minä sanon teille: jokainen, joka katsoo naista himoiten häntä, on jo sydämessään tehnyt huorin hänen kanssansa.

tha ฝ่ายเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า ผู้ใดมองผู้หญิงเพื่อให้เกิดใจกำหนัดในหญิงนั้น ผู้นั้นได้ล่วงประเวณีในใจกับหญิงนั้นแล้ว

Matthew 5 :29

kjb And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.

pyr Jos sinun oikea silmäsi viettelee sinua, repäise se pois ja heitä luotasi; sillä parempi on sinulle, että yksi jäsenistäsi joutuu hukkaan, kuin että koko ruumiisi heitetään helvettiin.

kjb It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

kjb But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

pyr Mutta minä sanon teille: jokainen, joka hylkää vaimonsa muun kuin huoruuden tähden, saattaa hänet tekemään huorin, ja joka nai hyljätyn, tekee huorin.

tha ฝ่ายเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า ถ้าผู้ใดจะหย่าภรรยา เพราะเหตุอื่นนอกจากการเล่นชู้ ก็เท่ากับว่าผู้นั้นทำให้หญิงนั้นล่วงประเวณี และถ้าผู้ใดจะรับหญิงซึ่งหย่าแล้วเช่นนั้นมาเป็นภรรยา ผู้นั้นก็ล่วงประเวณีด้วย

kjb Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

kjb But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

kjb Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

pyr Älkääkä maan kautta, sillä se on hänen jalkojensa astinlauta, älkää myöskään Jerusalemin kautta, sillä se on suuren Kuninkaan kaupunki;

tha หรือจะอ้างถึงแผ่นดินโลกก็ดี เพราะแผ่นดินโลกเป็นที่รองพระบาทของพระองค์ หรือจะอ้างถึงกรุงเยรูซาเล็มก็ดี เพราะกรุงเยรูซาเล็มเป็นราชธานีของพระมหากษัตริย์

Matthew 5 :36

kjb Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

pyr Äläkä vanno pääsi kautta, sillä et sinä voi yhtäkään hiusta tehdä valkeaksi etkä mustaksi;

tha อย่าปฏิญาณโดยอ้างถึงศีรษะของตน เพราะท่านจะกระทำให้ผมขาวหรือดำไปสักเส้นหนึ่งก็ไม่ได้

Matthew 5 :37

kjb But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

pyr vaan olkoon teidän puheenne: 'On, on', tahi: 'ei, ei'. Mitä siihen lisätään, se on pahasta.

kjb But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

pyr Mutta minä sanon teille: älkää tehkö pahalle vastarintaa; vaan jos joku lyö sinua oikealle poskelle, käännä hänelle toinenkin;

tha ฝ่ายเราบอกท่านว่า อย่าต่อสู้คนชั่ว ถ้าผู้ใดตบแก้มขวาของท่าน ก็จงหันแก้มซ้ายให้เขาด้วย

Matthew 5 :40

kjb And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have [thy] cloke also.

pyr ja jos joku tahtoo sinun kanssasi käydä oikeutta ja ottaa ihokkaasi, anna hänen saada vaippasikin;

tha ถ้าผู้ใดอยากจะฟ้องศาลเพื่อจะปรับเอาเสื้อของท่านไป ก็จงให้เสื้อคลุมแก่เขาเสียด้วย

Matthew 5 :41

kjb And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

pyr ja jos joku pakottaa sinua yhden virstan matkalle, kulje hänen kanssaan kaksi.

tha ถ้าผู้ใดจะเกณฑ์ท่านให้เดินทางไปหนึ่งกิโลเมตร ก็ให้เลยไปกับเขาถึงสองกิโลเมตร

Matthew 5 :42

kjb Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

pyr Anna sille, joka sinulta anoo, äläkä käännä selkääsi sille, joka sinulta lainaa pyytää.

tha ถ้าเขาจะขอสิ่งใดจากท่านก็จงให้ อย่าเมินหน้าจากผู้ที่อยากขอยืมจากท่าน

Matthew 5 :43

kjb Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

pyr Te olette kuulleet sanotuksi: 'Rakasta lähimmäistäsi ja vihaa vihollistasi'.

tha ท่านทั้งหลายได้ยินคำซึ่งกล่าวไว้ว่า `จงรักเพื่อนบ้าน และเกลียดชังศัตรู'

kjb But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

kjb That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

pyr että olisitte Isänne lapsia, joka on taivaissa; sillä hän antaa aurinkonsa koittaa niin pahoille kuin hyvillekin, ja antaa sataa niin väärille kuin vanhurskaillekin.

tha ทำดังนี้แล้วท่านทั้งหลายจะเป็นบุตรของพระบิดาของท่านผู้ทรงสถิตในสวรรค์ เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงให้ดวงอาทิตย์ของพระองค์ขึ้นส่องสว่างแก่คนดีและคนชั่วเสมอกัน และให้ฝนตกแก่คนชอบธรรมและแก่คนอธรรม

kjb For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

tha แม้ว่าท่านรักผู้ที่รักท่าน ท่านจะได้บำเหน็จอะไร ถึงพวกเก็บภาษีก็ยังกระทำอย่างนั้นมิใช่หรือ

Matthew 5 :47

kjb And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others]? do not even the publicans so?

pyr Ja jos te osoitatte ystävällisyyttä ainoastaan veljillenne, mitä erinomaista te siinä teette? Eivätkö pakanatkin tee samoin?

tha ถ้าท่านทักทายแต่พี่น้องของตนฝ่ายเดียว ท่านได้กระทำอะไรเป็นพิเศษยิ่งกว่าคนทั้งปวงเล่า ถึงพวกเก็บภาษีก็กระทำอย่างนั้นมิใช่หรือ

Matthew 5 :48

kjb Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

pyr Olkaa siis te täydelliset, niinkuin teidän taivaallinen Isänne täydellinen on."

tha เหตุฉะนี้ ท่านทั้งหลายจงเป็นคนดีรอบคอบ เหมือนอย่างพระบิดาของท่านผู้ทรงสถิตในสวรรค์เป็นผู้ดีรอบคอบ"

Matthew 6 :1

kjb Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

pyr "Kavahtakaa, ettette harjoita vanhurskauttanne ihmisten nähden, että he teitä katselisivat; muutoin ette saa palkkaa Isältänne, joka on taivaissa.

tha "จงระวังให้ดี ท่านอย่ากระทำทานต่อหน้าคนอื่นเพื่อจะให้เขาเห็น ถ้าทำอย่างนั้นท่านจะไม่ได้รับบำเหน็จจากพระบิดาของท่านผู้ทรงสถิตในสวรรค์

Matthew 6 :2

kjb Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

pyr Sentähden, kun annat almuja, älä soitata torvea edelläsi, niinkuin ulkokullatut tekevät synagoogissa ja kaduilla saadakseen ylistystä ihmisiltä. Totisesti minä sanon teille: he ovat saaneet palkkansa.

tha เหตุฉะนั้น เมื่อท่านทำทาน อย่าเป่าแตรข้างหน้าท่านเหมือนคนหน้าซื่อใจคดกระทำในธรรมศาลาและตามถนน เพื่อให้คนสรรเสริญ เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า เขาได้รับบำเหน็จของเขาแล้ว

kjb But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

tha ฝ่ายท่านทั้งหลายเมื่อทำทาน อย่าให้มือซ้ายรู้การซึ่งมือขวากระทำนั้น

kjb That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

pyr että almusi olisi salassa; ja sinun Isäsi, joka salassa näkee, maksaa sinulle.

tha เพื่อทานของท่านจะเป็นการลับ และพระบิดาของท่านผู้ทอดพระเนตรเห็นในที่ลี้ลับ พระองค์เองจะทรงโปรดประทานบำเหน็จแก่ท่านโดยเปิดเผย

Matthew 6 :5

kjb And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

pyr Ja kun rukoilette, älkää olko niinkuin ulkokullatut; sillä he mielellään seisovat ja rukoilevat synagoogissa ja katujen kulmissa, että ihmiset heidät näkisivät. Totisesti minä sanon teille: he ovat saaneet palkkansa.

tha เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายอธิษฐาน อย่าเป็นเหมือนคนหน้าซื่อใจคด เพราะเขาชอบยืนอธิษฐานในธรรมศาลาและที่มุมถนน เพื่อจะให้คนทั้งปวงได้เห็น เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า เขาได้รับบำเหน็จของเขาแล้ว

Matthew 6 :6

kjb But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

pyr Vaan sinä, kun rukoilet, mene kammioosi ja sulje ovesi ja rukoile Isääsi, joka on salassa; ja sinun Isäsi, joka salassa näkee, maksaa sinulle.

kjb But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

pyr Ja kun rukoilette, niin älkää tyhjiä hokeko niinkuin pakanat, jotka luulevat, että heitä heidän monisanaisuutensa tähden kuullaan.

tha แต่เมื่อท่านอธิษฐาน อย่าใช้คำซ้ำซากไร้ประโยชน์เหมือนคนต่างชาติ เพราะเขาคิดว่าพูดมากหลายคำ พระจึงจะทรงโปรดฟัง

Matthew 6 :8

kjb Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

pyr Älkää siis olko heidän kaltaisiaan; sillä teidän Isänne kyllä tietää, mitä te tarvitsette, ennenkuin häneltä anottekaan.

tha ท่านอย่าทำเหมือนเขาเลย เพราะว่าสิ่งไรซึ่งท่านต้องการ พระบิดาของท่านทรงทราบก่อนที่ท่านทูลขอแล้ว

kjb After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

pyr Rukoilkaa siis te näin: Isä meidän, joka olet taivaissa! Pyhitetty olkoon sinun nimesi;

tha เหตุฉะนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายจงอธิษฐานตามอย่างนี้ว่า ข้าแต่พระบิดาแห่งข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ผู้ทรงสถิตในสวรรค์ ขอให้พระนามของพระองค์เป็นที่เคารพสักการะ

Matthew 6 :10

kjb Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.

pyr tulkoon sinun valtakuntasi; tapahtukoon sinun tahtosi myös maan päällä niinkuin taivaassa;
