A Monologue or a play for one actor 18+
A single spot light is shone on the actor as he speaks the part, the rest of the stage remains in darkness.
Does a tune on an old radio sing dreams of a life you strive for at seven? Does the scent of a meal you can't afford make you hate those that rip it apart, devouring it without savoring it?
What can you afford at seven? Extruded onto the streets daily. Your identity is not free; it's paid for over a lifetime of lying, running and hiding in a delusional world. A world created only to entertain others. Who are they? Are you born, just to be their prey? Why is their game played on soft thick carpets, while you play on gravel glass and tar? Dark dreams are forged with pain and hatred at seven. Take your move, it is your game. I already know the ending.
