Robyn placed a finger to her lips as she looked to her right at Tirador. She had heard twigs in the distance breaking. The two had been tailing a Goblin that had been terrorizing the small town they were in. Though, terrorizing may have been the wrong word to use. He had been selling the Horde’s potent aphrodisiac in exchange for many of the women that lived there.

Tirador nodded and hid within the nearest brush, readying his arm-axe as he quietly looked around. Another snapping of branches and Robyn withdrew her sword. She heard something fly in the air and quickly reacted, pulling a piece of fabric and wrapping it around her mouth and nose. The sound of glass cracking filled the air and she rushed out, branding her sword as she saw a short red Goblin jump out towards her.

Robyn held her breath as she lowered onto her knees and swung her sword. The crafty Goblin somehow changed directions mid-air, barely avoiding her sword and slashing at her with his own small knife. With his other hand, he reached back and pulled out a dagger, throwing it underhanded at Robyn.

She fell back as she felt something hit her side. The Goblin grinned and landed on the ground, rolling and readying his knife for another strike. Robyn cursed under her breath and swung her sword, trying to keep him at a distance. Before the Goblin could get closer, Tirador jumped out, flying high into the air and slamming the ground hard. The Goblin was taken off guard as Tirador slashed him with his axe.

Aye! Come on then! Tirador yelled proudly as he slammed his fist into the Goblin’s face, the fatal blow.

Robyn rushed to his side and smacked him on the back of the head. You weren’t supposed to kill him, she growled.

Hey, he almost killed you, the Dwarf replied. You should be thanking me.

Thanking you? I was luring him in. There was no way he was going to kill me, Robyn responded.

He got you pretty good there, Tirador said as he pointed at her side, where the dagger had hit.

She sighed and rolled her eyes, raising her left arm and pushing back her cloak to reveal a thick leather padding. Robyn patted it and shook her head. I was wearing armor, she said.

Tirador rubbed his scruffy beard and shrugged. Oh well, one less Goblin for the Horde, he commented.

We needed to question him, Robyn argued.

It’s fine. He probably didn’t know much anyhow. From what we’ve been hearing, these villagers are the ones we should be questioning, he replied.

Robyn sighed as she kicked the fallen corpse of the Goblin. There were villagers that were taking advantage of the potent potion that they were able to obtain from the little monster. The problem was that no one could point out who the bad apples were. Robyn had hoped that capturing the Goblin would lead to the identification of the villagers that were trading women for the aphrodisiac.

Well, there’s still something we can do, Robyn said as she stared at the corpse. With Aewyn’s help, I could take his form for a bit, she continued.
