About this ebook

This little book shares personal paranormal experiences after a lifetime of spiritual exploration from the author's native Siberian perspective. The last chapter covers the important basics of after death communication, releasing fear, and spiritual protection. It offers comfort for those contending with death.
This is a helpful tool for anyone interested in learning more about our spiritual natures. It also provides useful information for paranormal investigators to better understand and commune with the unseen worlds they pursue.

I’ve always longed to share these subjects, but had feared ridicule. However, people today are becoming more open minded and accepting. I have nothing to gain by revealing this unusual subject matter and I’m not attempting to change anyone’s beliefs. You have a right to believe what resonates most comfortably with you and your unique perspective is honored and respected. You are free to take these bits of wisdom and apply them to your best interests for a meaningful and fulfilling life path.

Throughout life there have been too many unexplained occurrences and so-called coincidences, things my logical mind couldn’t dismiss as mere fantasy. These experiences aren’t explainable under the confines of our dominant society’s belief system. Not originating from dominant society, I looked to my indigenous ancestry for answers. Those answers, through the clumsy limits of written human language (and my humble limits as an amateur author), are presented in this book.

Rebecca Burg

After working to pay her way through college (mechanical design, electronics & a BA in communication), Burg purchased an antique 31-foot cruising sailboat. She relied on her mechanical and engineering training to restore the vessel, and then moved aboard. Singlehanding in the company of others, she seasonally sailed to tropical ports. Her philosophy includes working hard, yet not waiting for retirement to have fun in life. Finding a balance between employment and play, Rebecca worked seasonal retail jobs and, year-round, worked as a marine mechanic and marine electrical technician. She also enjoys a hobby in the visual arts, sometimes selling her realistic paintings on the side. In her late 40s, she was diagnosed with an aggressive stage III breast cancer and has so far endured two and a half years of treatment. This did not stop her from enjoying life as much as she realistically could. Home port is a tiny marina surrounded by the Florida Everglades.

The Spiritual and Paranormal Realms - Rebecca Burg

    Introduction

Logic, critical thought, and science are my best friends, yet I’d always viewed the metaphysical with an open mind. For me to believe something, I preferred to experience it firsthand or at least gather some verifiable evidence. A skeptical approach has helped me sift through potential nonsense and step over common stumbling blocks in the search for truth.

Throughout life there have been too many unexplained occurrences and so-called coincidences, things my logical mind couldn’t dismiss as mere fantasy. These experiences aren’t explainable under the confines of our dominant society’s belief system. Not originating from dominant society, I looked to the past for answers.

Mom’s ancestry, the indigenous Uralic tribes of the Arctic Circle/Finland-Siberia, and dad’s Middle Eastern Jewish background were strong influences through childhood. Despite the whitewashing and enforced Christianization, the native ways of old haven’t been completely stamped out by the machine of conformity. My sister Krista and I must’ve been compelled by some intrinsic genetic affiliation because we’ve always been restlessly seeking the spiritual links with our past.

Following are subjects I’d always longed to share, but had feared ridicule. People today are becoming more open minded and now it’s a joy to reveal such personal information. I have nothing to gain by sharing this unusual subject and I’m not attempting to change anyone’s beliefs. You have a right to believe what resonates best with you, and your beliefs are honored and respected. Despite the seemingly esoteric subject matter, the information in this little book can be helpful for living in the here and now.

    Personal Paranormal Experiences

Lifelong exploration of the paranormal and spiritual insights gained after four decades of research and the author’s native traditional spiritual beliefs.

    Out of Body Travel

Our maternal grandmother’s psychic ability, something she’d passed on to my sister Krista and me, was a natural skill to be nurtured and not hidden or feared. Anyone can foster this skill, which is an extension of our familiar five senses. I spent a great deal of time with grandmother during her later years when she was more inclined to speak of the old ways. She’d tell me about her ability to see and commune with spirit beings and how it was normal that our souls would spirit walk while our physical bodies were sleeping.

Commonly known as astral travel or out-of-body experiences, I frequently experimented with this phenomenon as a youth but lost control of it as I aged. It also seemed as if I’d been deliberately hampered by a loving but firm teacher-like entity who knew darn well I was less inclined to faithfully return to my body. Like a mischievous horse escaping the barn, I had a habit of trying to zip out into space to go home. That teacher was correct in
