About this ebook
Cassidy traveled over 20,000 miles, crisscrossing the country to meet with gun owners in their homes. Cassidy's photo essays create a powerful, thought provoking and sometimes startling view of gun ownership in the U.S. These "everyman" portraits, and the accompanying views of gun owners, fashion a riveting and provocative hardcover book.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fascinating glimpse into the lives of people who own guns. Quite frightening in many ways but fascninating none-the-less.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5He captures a lot of character (and characters), but I don't think its a fair portait given that his own premise is based on gun ownership in 39% to 50% of American homes. Or... maybe this actually IS a true cross section of American homes.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I spotted this book in the bargain section and I must admit I was drawn to the cover of a well dressed couple holding guns with their young child in superman pajamas. I think this book brings the voyer in us. In some respects guns and owernship is still taboo to some people. This books shows a nice cross section of America posing with their favorite guns. The pictures are taken in their homes and usually include their pets as well. There are a few sentences on their thoughts related to guns. I'm surprised how many peple have guns that are more attuned to personal/home defense than to hunting. Perhaps a reflection on our society that is not readily apparent. Either way I like the book. I found it quite interesting. While it's more of a skimming book that a read I believe the gun enthusiast as well as the non enthusiast would like it.
