About this ebook
Chris had just suffered through the worst earthquake imaginable. Then, a short time later, a second earthquake rocked the entire world. After those two devastating events, God sends a messenger to him. "Haven't I done enough for God? I'm a bitter, old man. Let me rest in peace."
But to Chris' dismay God sent him on a 2000 mile journey to the Mohave Desert and didn't bother to explain to him why...

Chapter 1
Chris reached over and turned up the dial on the old school crank radio. A woman’s voice broadcast over the new One World radio frequency. "We have received reports that our telescopes in space are tracking a meteor which could possibly impact earth. President Apophis has named this particular meteor: ‘Wormwood’."
Apophis’ voice crackled over the radio. "I have implemented a plan to destroy this meteor before it crashes into earth. We cannot allow anything to destroy our sovereign way of life."
Sovereign?! The only one sovereign is God.
Chris turned the radio off. Wormwood is on its way and cannot be stopped.
He scanned the debris which surrounded his rubble-strewn house in which he sat. The first earthquake destroyed almost everything. And then there was a second earthquake. Next, hail and fire will be thrown down. You’d think that mankind will give up its sinful ways when they see that come down! But they won’t.
He looked at a chair which sat in the corner of his living room opposite his rocker in which he sat. How many times have you ever seen hail and fire come out of the sky at the same time? That will be wondrous to see.
Chris laughed to himself. He unwound his scarf from around his neck, flipped back the hood of his coat, and finally took off his sock cap. Wisps of white hair danced in the light breeze. He rubbed his scarf over his head and then pulled his cap back on. I need to stop talking to myself. Someone will think I’m crazy.
He stood, went over to the broken window, and peered out at the surrounding neighborhood. His shelter stood at the very edge of town. The whole town was practically a pile of rubble. There’s no one around to listen to me anyway.
He laughed.
Where was I? Oh, yes. And then the creatures living in the seas will die because of the blood.
He pulled his head back inside of the building and put his hood back up over his head. Then, he wrapped the scarf around his neck. Was that before or after a third of the trees and grasses were burned?
He walked to the utility room where he had set up a cozy living space. It was devoid of windows, and when he shut the door, there was hardly any breeze. He
