My most important love is story telling of fictional tales, far away places, memorable characters, great beginnings and surprise endings. I can author work across many genres comfortably. If I can connect with you my reader, then I did my job and we are hopefully, both happy.II don't try to author woke, politically correct content, but rather entertainment value work. I like to think of my stories as having a 'Movie in your mind' and if I connect with a reader that way, I have done my job. From my "Sheriff Wyler Scott" franchise to the "CalHouse" Technological terror tales of the 21st century, to a diabolical Veep at Weasle Mortgage and Loa in "$$$Amount Due$$$" to a dying man kidnapped in place of a woman by grey aliens on a disc in "Captura" ... I like my readers to be able to visit all types of places. Even in time, take "Skyway Arizona" where a 747 makes an emergency landing in the year 1885. Or a future detective "Turbadia" a detective from hell for the bad guys who seems unstoppable, to a religious scifi confrontation in the future "Thunder Dead" God versus the Devil and grey alien. It is that imagination, the travels with the characters, the places they have been, a hopeless situation turned around, this is what is important, an escape from the real world for several hours to go on those adventures and meet new characters. That is my world and I hope it 'Rocks your mind' for several hours. Humbly yours, American Author, Poet, Filmwriter and Songwriter, "Mark Paul" Sebar.

Before you consider reading this story. It is the number nine story in the Sheriff Wyler Scott Series. There are character tie-ins from previous Wyler Scott stories that if you have not read them already, will make a great deal more sense. This story ties in with the first Wyler Scott novel Contact of the Forestry Kin
the second novel Idyllwild
the third novel The Trail To East Mohave
the fourth novel Broken Canyon
as each previous story pulls in characters that are in this novel. Likewise, this story has a very close tie-in with Wyler Scott # 5 The Chocolate Mountain Murders
, Wyler Scott Novel # 6 Tahquitz
and the # 7 Wyler Scott Novel The June Lake Incident
. Wyler Scott Novel #8 Cuffed
So for a better experience, if you have not already read the older titles, please read the previous Wyler Scott novels first. Thanks!

Chapter 01
It was quiet over the desert of the distant planet Ciera. A gentle breeze, the two suns overhead and small diamonds floating in the sky. There was a solemn peace and then slowly the noise approached. It was two jet fighters and they were flying low to the desert floor. One craft was a Russian MIG31 and the pilot was at full speed above the deck. Behind him were small dots of light and they were trailing him and closing fast. Another jet fighter veered right, it was an F-16 under the Israeli banner. The lights stayed with the MIG31, buying the Israeli pilot a few moments as they headed south. Then a soldier tried to get through an opening and a large, rotating and translucent vehicle flew to the spot as the soldier watched and then screamed. It went around his head, rotated and his head fell to the ground, his eyes in disbelief as he stared at the sky. The translucent vehicle quickly darted to another point with blistering speed and another head was chopped. The lights closed on the tail of the MIG31 as the Russian pilot was relaying details before he blew the canopy.
The beads of light began disintegrating the jet from the tail forward in flight and too late, the pilot tried to eject, but the deadly beads caught him and he dissolved as well. There was nothing left of the MIG31.
The F-16 was flying at very high speeds and then from ahead of it above high in low orbit, a thin stream shot across the heavens from the smaller star. That weapons platform lit up and the hail of blistering meteors rained down in front of the F-16. The pilot took a hard right, just narrowly missing the sheets of raining death and another weapons platform became activated above. A fresh sheet of raining diamond hard, blistering hot meteorites came raining down and the pilot took a hard right, now heading back North. Another sheet was just ahead, the only recourse was to fly back to the west, the pilot took a hard left, and there was another sheet of death from above. The pilot slowed the aircraft and then ejected. There was a small rock outcropping below as they dropped by parachute and the jet flew on. The pilot fell to the ground and was going to make a run for it, when a large Na’Neelah came running up. It was well timed as the Na’Neelah held his shield up and pulled the pilot in, tucking them next to the alien creature. The meteorites fell hard, however the shield kept them both safe. Eventually the storm of hard diamonds started to thin and then dissipated completely.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Judd Michaels, a very close friend of Wyler’s and Wyler himself drove the four-wheel drive to a stop. They had gone as far as they could go. Both men exited the vehicle and a second truck rolled up with two of Judd’s deputies, Nate and Tyson. Well,
Judd grinned a moment and then gained his serious composure back. Wyler, I think this is the gully your Sky mentioned.
Yep, sure seems like it. Old Woman Mountains back over there,
Wyler replied in a momentary gestured glance.
And in our county,
Judd reminded him.
That’s right mister, where were ya when they were after me, a county sheriff?
Wyler winked.
Well, let’s get hiking,
Judd ordered and he locked down the sheriff’s truck and then they all started the trek down the riverbed. Above in the sky circled a vulture. It flew well ahead of them.
Above Ciera was the large moon outlined on the eastern horizon and below it one of the smaller moons. The large moon had a higher gravity then Ciera as it was mostly a metal core, almost to the surface. Its atmosphere was a yellowish color and of a very hazy acid substance. The liquid pools on it were also of this substance and a bone shaped, pipe entry, lead to a distant city of tall spires that were constructed of the same material. A large open temple that rotated slowly to face the small white dwarf star in this solar system had many of the enemy of the Ahgundy. They were short, rotund and very heavy in weight and they thrived in this atmosphere that was so very deadly to humans and Ahgundy alike. This was a place the Ahgundy could never survive in nor even really visit, yet the Godumbia called it home. They were not a warrior race but they also were quite hot-tempered, easy to get into a fight with anyone that challenged them and they were very religious in respect to their Sun God. While the Ahgundy could not visit their world and breathe their air, they could visit the Ahgundy world of Ciera and breathe Ciera’s air quite easily which also meant they probably could visit Earth as well, though they would be prone to cellular decay much like the Ahgundy were, because of their phased molecules.
In their temple, they sat and stared at the blistering hot and compact white dwarf star and they made noises that resembled a chanting prayer, together as a whole. It actually was quite beautiful and harmonizing for such a physically ugly looking race as the Ahgundy considered the Godumbia to be.
The Na’Neelah took the Israeli Pilot to their large cave. She was stunned but realized she had made friends and so she tried to communicate with them and they seemed stunned as well, unable to understand her words. Then a large Na’Neelah approached. I understand you,
it replied in perfect English. However, the Israeli Pilot only spoke Hebrew and did not understand English.
That vulture was just one that circled overhead. The headless body was where Sky said it would be and three more vultures were there when Judd drew a service revolver and Wyler pulled his Stainless Supermag. Mine’s bigger,
Wyler grinned.
Let’s see who’s a better shot,
Judd replied. He fired a round in the air and the vultures all took flight. Wyler took a shot and downed a vulture.
How’s that?
he replied.
Judd took three shots and down came the two on the ground and finally both men took several shots at the vulture in the air and brought it down too. I wonder which one of us got that one?
Judd quipped and Wyler blew the smoke from the end of his Dan Wesson Supermag.
They all approached the body. Just as she said,
Judd kneeled. The head and part of the neck are gone.
Other world,
Wyler replied. He went and found the broken branch. She said the end of the branch had been scorched and broken off.
Wyler studied it and held it up. Then he walked over right to where Abraham’s body had fallen back from and they all watched. Wyler took the branch, and carefully probed the rock wall of the riverbed and then found a spot with no resistance. He pushed most of the branch through it and suddenly there was a vibration, then a snap and he pulled out a short stick. He held it up, turned to the three of them and with a slight grin asked. Any of you care to take a peek in there?
Uh, no,
they all said almost at the same time.
Your nightstick,
Wyler gestured to Judd’s deputy. Judd nodded and the deputy handed it over.
Wanna explain?
Judd asked Wyler.
Four seconds, I wanna confirm four seconds.
Wyler took the nightstick and extended the metal stick just a smidgen into the wall and about four seconds on the dot—it got snapped.
Four seconds,
Judd could not believe it as Wyler pulled the snapped off baton back out.
Whatever cut that off took four seconds to chop it.
Wyler handed the stick back to the deputy, then took his Stetson off and wiped his hair.
Don’t tell me you are going to do what I think you are going to do,
Judd commented as he took a step forward.
Wanna take a shot at it?
Wyler grinned.
No, uh no I don’t. I’m not insane,
Judd replied.
Part of law enforcement is to protect and to serve and sometimes take risks,
Wyler responded. I aim to find out.
You’re nuts,
Judd snapped.
Perhaps I am,
Wyler responded. He turned around, then took a deep, perhaps last breath, and again wiped his darkened hair. In three seconds or less grab my body and you three yank me backwards.
Then he got right up to the wall and stuck his head through for a moment.
Below on the ground staring up was Abraham’s head and part of his neck. Wyler looked straight ahead and a translucent ring came flying toward his face. Just as he watched, they yanked him backwards as the ring rotated and they had him. Everyone was staring at him. What?
Wyler went to wipe his hair and he was bald.
On the other side a gentle breeze blew wisps of brown hair onto Abraham’s staring face. Helluva way to get a haircut,
Judd commented to Wyler.
Thanks guys, some type of new weapon comes at ya. Can barely see it, nearly invisible, like a rotating guillotine of some type comes from nowhere. Just came flying right at my face.
We better get your friend’s remains to the truck,
Judd mentioned. Coroner will meet us there.
Mike was seated at a small Hemet café with Deputy Linda Myers and they had just received their coffees. So,
she asked in an almost teasing manner. Tell me about New York, I’ve never been there. You know, what it was like being a cop there?
Oh boy,
Mike rolled his eyes and then sipped the coffee. We had one morning ya couldn’t believe. We’re talking on a corner and there’s this race going on. I mean a roaring through quiet city streets, a Vette versus a Cobra and they come down the road roaring about one hundred plus miles an hour, and my buddy and I, we was talking about the night before, we’d gone bowling right.
Really?
she leaned forward.
Yeah, so we seen these two morons racing and he says what ya think about that? So I shrugged, yeah, gonna be a nice day, then we get a first call. A woman beating the shit outta her husband so that was typical stuff.
Oh boy, I can just see that,
Linda smiled.
Oh no, she didn’t just beat him up, she had this poor guy in a bondage knot and he was upside down over a bath tub filled with boiling hot honey.
Oh my God,
Linda became a bit alarmed.
So we cuffed her, got the guy down, turns out she found this strange guy, he was there to rape her, right. But she smart talked the moron into doing a bondage sex thing for her and she left him tied up.
Mike sipped more coffee, and then with a slight grin, he rolled his eyes with his big city charm. Ha, talk about the intruder becoming the victim. So we booked em both. One for breaking and entering, the other for torture and preparing to honey-bake his ass. He had never been so glad to see cops, can ya believe that?
Wow, tell me more.
Chapter 02
Ileen was on the phone. Really?
she asked Shirley. Your very own car dealership for you and Mike. I don’t know if he would be happy losing a detective investigator as polished and smart as your husband.
Believe me,
Shirley replied while doing her nails. Mike has this police thing in his blood. He wouldn’t be seen dead doing anything else.
So,
Mike continued. The bastid was hitting on my wife. You know, she is so smart, she recorded everything.
Ferrari’s are you kidding?
Linda asked.
No, no, seriously. A woman scorned,
Mike shook his hand, and this was the wrong one to do it to. Yeah, yeah, I think we’re going to sue the shit out of that guy.
Maybe you can get me a cheap deal on a sports car,
Linda grinned.
Yeah, maybe,
Mike replied.
The coroner’s truck was there parked with the rest of the vehicles as the men carried the wrapped body on shoulders. He watched with hands at his sides. No head?
he called.
Judd glanced at Wyler a moment. No head,
Judd replied. Damned thing is beginning to smell bad too.
They all helped load it into the coroner’s truck.
Wrapped up the crime scene?
the coroner asked.
Yep, all done. Judd, it’s on your county side so best to see if he had anyone to contact. I’m do for a vacation from all of this crap,
Wyler informed.
You’re not the only one,
Judd replied. Some great skiing up at Big Bear near the Summit.
Been thinking about that,
Wyler grinned. Might be time for some R and R and a change.
How bout we both go skiing tomorrow?
Judd asked.
In Big Bear?
Wyler broke a deep smile.
Yeah,
Judd smiled too. Then he turned to his deputies. Probably do us head honchos a world of good for those few hours.
Okay,
Wyler replied calmly. The misses don’t like skiing much so I’ll meet ya at the resort.
Good, very good,
Judd patted Wyler on the back.
The CIA agent glanced up at the blue sky. Langley Virginia was there under a somber afternoon. He had run from the forest chased by something invisible
