PART 1
The Rise and Fall of Gadieon
Chapter 1
Let there be Light
The year is 4352 B.C. In the lush, steamy jungles of South America, a twenty-year-old woman builds a small raft with hopes of riding the current to find action and adventure. Her name is Sydell. At a glance, her long disheveled dark hair, brightly colored war paint, warrior’s shield and spear do little hide the rebellious nature that embodies her spirit. She would rather hunt for prey and fight for superiority than bare children and raise animals. She is known as an excellent fighter and defender of the land.
Sydell has heard rumor that a tribe of warrior women existed somewhere near the Caribbean Sea and set off to find them and join their ranks. She rides the current for half a day until finally facing the first real decision of her adventure. She comes to a fork in the river and must decide which way to go. There are several screaming people emerging from the bushes.
Sydell has traveled far from her homeland and the messages from foreign tongues are incomprehensible.
What are they so frantic about?
she wonders to herself.
She decides to take the fork on the left since the current looks calm on that side. As she paddles, she looks forward to her life of adventure. Just then, she begins to pick up speed. She realized that the people from the bushes were saying to go right at the fork. She holds on for dear life.
The raft is going so fast down the river that Sydell doesn’t have time to avoid obstacles upstream. High walls on both sides of the river make escape impossible. The powerful current pulls the raft directly into the path of a boulder. Sydell’s raft is smashed into pieces.
One of the logs hits Sydell on the head, causing a gaping wound as she desperately clings to pieces of wood in order to stay afloat. Cries for help go unanswered. The raging current takes her further downstream.
Sydell begins to black out and loses her grip on the log that is keeping her afloat. The intense current takes her under, but she battles and pokes her head up for a large gasp of air. She looks ahead and can see one of the logs from her raft. Sydell concentrates all of her energy on reaching that log. Each stroke to remain above water taxes her weakened body.
Come on! You can do it! Just a bit more!
she tells herself.
At last, her hard work pays off, and she grabs the log. From there, she can see her next obstacle. The river is leading her to a waterfall. Sydell begins to scream in terror as she is catapulted straight out for a fifty-foot drop.
Sydell plunges into a large body of water with no logs in sight. Once she surfaces, she spots land and swims toward safety. As she strives to reach land, her muscles grow tired and weak from fighting the intense current. She struggles to keep her head above water. Each time she successfully peers above water, she desperately gasps for air. Between gasps, Sydell spends more and more time underneath the water.
Sydell falls underneath the water and begins losing consciousness. She makes one last bid for a breath of air, but the underwater current is too strong, and she fails. The body that once housed this young, elite, female spirit now belongs to the sea, and her spirit flies free toward Heaven. But she is not alone. Groups of other worthy spirits are also ascending into Heaven.
As the groups arrive at the portal to Heaven, one spirit continues to ascend higher than all the others. It is the spirit of the elite, young female. She sees thousands of spirits lined up, awaiting entrance into Heaven. She begins to wonder about her fate as she continues to rise higher than everyone else.
Awaiting the homecoming of Sydell are two angels, one man and one woman. They are not dressed in traditional angel garb, however. They wear dark, hooded robes bearing the mark of Omega. The two remove their hoods and introduce themselves. The man calls himself Magnus, and the woman introduces herself as Grace. Magnus is tall and skinny. If he were mortal, he would stand six feet, six inches tall. He walks with a staff and has an orb of light positioned just over his left shoulder. Magnus’s soft-spoken, yet wise demeanor allows him to build an instant rapport with anyone in his presence. Grace, on the other hand, is smaller in comparison and would stand about five feet, eight inches tall. She doesn’t walk with a staff, but does have an orb of light hovering over her right shoulder. She credits Magnus for building and strengthening the army of Heaven and greatly admires him.
Upon Sydell’s arrival, Omega Magnus calls the female spirit by her name.
Sydell, we have been expecting you.
Sydell asks, Wait, how do you know my name?
Omega Magnus replies, We are angels charged with the task of watching over Earth. We know all, see all and have been observing you with great intent.
Congratulations, Sydell,
Omega Grace says. We have seen you defend your land from invaders, protect the weak and inspire peace within your tribe. Due to these acts of heroism you have been deemed worthy to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Omega Magnus continues, You lived your mortal life as a noble individual, therefore, you have been granted a rare opportunity, one that will affect you for eternity. You will have the option to either inherit the Kingdom of Heaven or become a servant of the Kingdom.
To help Sydell understand the ramifications of her decision, Omegas Grace and Magnus take her on a full tour of Heaven. They start with their present location, the Port of Mu.
This is where you make your final transition from the mortal world to the spiritual one,
Omega Magus explains. This port consists of a long, slender walkway that leads to a fork. The fork on the left is reserved for spirits who choose to inherit the Kingdom. The fork on the right is reserved for spirits who choose to become angels, otherwise known as servants of the Kingdom.
The tour continues as they ascend toward the Kingdom.
Sydell’s jaw drops with amazement at the beauty before her. Heaven is a beautiful pyramid fortress of crystal that glows with the radiance of the sun, home to millions of worthy souls.
As they traverse inside the fortress, they see a courtyard with a lone obelisk in the center. They see thousands of spirits meeting, talking and laughing. These spirits do not have halos or wings and are dressed as mortals. Inside the walls of the fortress are thousands of small, open rooms. Each room contains an obelisk. Surrounding each of the obelisks are hundreds of small orbs.
All of the angels that you see have inherited the Kingdom,
explains Omega Magnus.
You can tell by their appearance—they do not wear the attire of servants of the Kingdom. They look exactly as they did when they were mortals. This is how you distinguish between spirits who have inherited the Kingdom and angels who are servants of the Kingdom. If you choose to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, you will be limited to this realm. However, if you choose to serve the Kingdom, you will have access to any realm in the universe.
As they enter the Kingdom of Heaven, Sydell has several questions.
If there are millions of worthy souls here, how can a location this small contain that many spirits?
she asks.
Omega Grace tells Sydell not to be fooled by her human perception of size.
Each room contains an obelisk that is capable of generating and providing access to multiple dimensions,
Omega Grace continues. Surrounding the obelisk are small orbs measuring between one foot and three feet in diameter. These orbs are entire dimensions. The smaller the orb, the smaller the dimension contained within it. Each dimension is different and is capable of holding millions of souls due to the fact that everyone’s image of what Heaven means is different.
The way that we are able to move between dimensions is a process called trans-dimensionally warping,
Omega Magnus adds. We can teleport between dimensions we have access to with ease. All we have to do is think of the location and use our spiritual energy to access our destination.
Angels who choose to inherit Heaven are only allowed to trans-dimensionally warp between Heavenly realms,
says Omega Grace. "They are not allowed to trans-dimensionally warp anywhere
