I became addicted to words at an early age. I began reading when I was four. I wrote my first story at five years old and my first poem at seven. Since then, I have written plays, tutorials, scholarly articles, marketing brochures, software specifications, self-help books, press releases, a five-hundred page dissertation, and lots of erotica and erotic romance – more than fifty single author titles including eight full length novels, plus dozens of short stories in various collections. My credits include contributions to the Lambda winner Where the Girls Are and the IPPIE Best Erotic Book of 2011, Carnal Machines. My gay scifi erotic romance Quarantine won a Rainbow Awards 2012 Honorable Mention. I have also edited a number of acclaimed erotica anthologies. Currently I am responsible for the charity erotica imprint Coming Together Presents, which as of December 2014 has published six volumes by top erotic authors, supporting causes such as Amnesty International, Planned Parenthood, and the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.I have more degrees than anyone would ever need, from prestigious educational institutions who would no doubt be deeply embarrassed by my chosen genre. Aside from writing, travel is one of my most fervent passions. I’ve visited every continent except Australia, though I still have a long bucket list of places I haven’t been. The Cambodian guide’s eyes ranged over the motley group of tourists gathered in the lobby. He was assessing us—I could imagine his thoughts. The obese German would complain incessantly about the heat. The frail Japanese couple were bound to be slow—if he wasn't careful, they'd wreak havoc with the programmed itinerary. The two chattering spinsters from France hadn't even heard his introduction – they'd undoubtedly continue to babble away to each other for the entire tour.

His gaze lingered on me, no doubt weighing my potential as a source of tips. With his slender build and smooth cheeks, he looked to be barely twenty, but his expression suggested a much older man. Cold and calculating, he appeared to be looking out for obstacles and scanning for opportunities. Not an ounce of innocence remained in that young face.

When he broke into a radiant smile, however, we tourists couldn’t help but return it. I know it's an odd nickname, but you wouldn't be able to pronounce my real name, he continued. Over the next few days, I hope we'll get to know each other better. Right now I want to make sure everyone is here. Herr Gruber?

The grizzled man with the pot belly raised a limp hand. Herr and Frau Rausch? Mr. and Mrs. Ishida? Mr. and Mrs. Swenson? Louisa and Maribelle Montblanc?
