How God Spoke To Me

Through The Stars

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man-- and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Romans 1:19-23

The message of the character of God and His eternal power was clearly displayed in heaven from the beginning and people beginning from Adam knew of it. But sinful men chose to exchange the truth of the stars for fairy tales of corruptible men (e.g. Orion, Hercules), birds (e.g. Phoenix, Raven), animals (e.g. Unicorn, Bear) and creeping things (e.g. Sea monster, Serpent). Most of that began to happen when the watchers came down from heaven in the days of Jared on Mt. Hermon roughly 500 years after the fall of Adam and Eve and they started to teach mankind astrology in their own twisted ways.¹ They hated God and corrupted the teachings of the stars to take Jesus the Messiah out of the picture and put themselves into the frame. Does not astrology and even astronomy today swirl with names of Greek and Roman gods and goddesses?

When I first got saved, I had a strong desire to immediately receive my Water Baptism in order to publicly confess my faith. Due to some complications with the church that I was part of at that time, I had to wait for three years until it finally happened. The wonderful people that took me in and listened to me when I confessed my sins had me draw a Bible verse that they said would be a prophetic word for my life. The verse that I got was:

And I will give him the morning star. Revelation 2:28

Years went by and I could not make any sense of this Scripture. I just thought it referred to Jesus and that was wonderful, but that was not the whole story!

About five years later I had an interesting encounter with the Lord. I attended business school and was focused on getting my degree. Then in the night, Holy Spirit started speaking to me in a dream. He showed me a building that was made of red bricks and it looked like an industrial building as I had not seen it before at the time. He said: This is a Bible School and I want you to attend it for two years. Then the scene changed and I was inside the building in a classroom setting and I saw myself preaching to a bunch of people.

I woke up and had no idea what that building could have been. A couple of weeks later I was at a church in a prayer meeting and someone started to prophesy over me. She said: I see you going to another country and attending a school that has the eagle as its symbol. Wow! It got more specific!

Still I didn’t know where and what this place was as a friend called me up randomly. He invited me over to his place and wanted to connect with me. He had been on a 2 month trip throughout the United States and had just come back to Germany. He started sharing with me that he had been to all the major prophetic / charismatic ministries in the country on a round-trip because he studied theology and was just hungry for more of God. As he was talking he showed me tons of pictures he had taken on the trip.

His report fascinated me and I listened to every word he was saying. Suddenly he pulled out a picture that showed an industrial looking red brick building. I felt like struck by a lightning when I saw it. He said: This is MorningStar Ministries in Charlotte, NC. They have a school symbol with the Morning Star and an Eagle in one picture and their motto is … equipping the saints (Ephesians 4:12)."

I was speechless for some time and he kept talking about some other things, which I don’t remember. All my thoughts were spinning around what had just happened. He had just given me the missing link! He had just made sense of a series of secret hints God had dropped in my life.

Excited as I was with these divine encounters I went right away to my pastor and told him about it. He listened for a while and then said that he didn’t believe that any of this was from God. He advised me to finish my degree, get married and settle down while volunteering heavily in his church. I felt like a train just hit me. I went home and started to pray intensely about this whole story. I felt strongly to listen to the first piece of advice and finish business school, but the rest of the advice just didn’t resonate with me.

After some months of intense praying and fasting I felt that I had to obey God, but that I also wanted to submit to the leadership He had appointed for me (1 Pet 5:5). So I went and visited this pastor in his house and asked him if he would pray with me for one hour. He agreed and we talked to the Lord for like two minutes and then listened for the remaining 58
