Melodie Anderson stood in front of the office bathroom mirror and reapplied her lipstick. It was a dark red shade that was borderline unacceptable in the drab office environment she worked in, but she loved the way it played against her porcelain skin and silky, eye-catching long red hair.

She rubbed her lips together to transfer the color smoothly as she absentmindedly assessed the rest of her appearance. As usual, she was flawless, but her work crush, Damon Lexington, was visiting from another office, and she was conscious of how she looked.

Melodie smoothed her dark gray skirt over her thighs, taking pleasure in the rasp of the material over her nude stockings.
