The River Down the Road: Selected Poems
()
About this ebook
This collection of the author's earlier poems contain his love of the natural world, his concern over prevailing attitudes, and his reflections on the people and places that have impacted him. Revealed throughout is the desire to get to the heart of matters large and small, to strip away façade, and to move readers to their core.
Jason J. Humphreys
Jason Humphreys is a blue collar poet who loves long walks in the woods, belting out Stan Rogers tunes(or any other song that suits him), and periods of peaceful solitude. He has no accolades to recommend him as many established authors do save his insatiable love of learning, the written word, the natural world, and meaningful interactions. He shares his life with his wife, his father, and his cat in the beautiful and picturesque Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia - a region known for engendering reflective contemplation and inspiration.

This book is dedicated to Audrey Sturk, my grade 12 English teacher, who said I should publish my poetry, and to my dear sweet wife, Becky, who has always had my back from the very beginning.
