Introduction

I wrote this book to suggest to you to search for a reservoir, a treasure, a gold mine that God the creator, deposited into every individual who has been born into this world. God hid it inside of you in order for you to search for it until you discover it. I call it a star. The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary defines a star as a famous or brilliant singer, performer, sports player, etc. or the best one of a group. This is a person who stands out, a person who excels, a person who does better than those in his/her group. When God created a human being, He chose an area in which each person would excel in and become a star.

It is for this reason I believe that everyone is destined to become a star. The key is to find or discover your area of excellence. Since one’s fingerprints are different from anyone’s, this means that everyone is special and unique. Not even the fingerprints of twins are the same. This means that each individual is on earth to carry out a special, unique and specific assignment which he/she alone can perform. If that assignment is carried out by that particular individual, he/she is bound to become a star. As stated above, the star you are destined to become has been hidden inside of you by God.

It is therefore the words of God which can resurrect that star. The words of God speak life to the star inside of you. In fact, the star in every individual understands the language of the one who hid the star inside of you. God speaks to us through His word. His word is both life and spirit. His word is a seed which never fails to produce the desired crops. If your life is not fed with the words of the creator, the star in you will lie dormant until you die, without discovering what God had destined for you. So take time to read each scripture from this book and the explanations that follow. Each scripture and explanation is accompanied by a relevant quotation, which makes exciting reading for you, the reader.

As you read through some of the chapters, you will realise that some stars in the bible underwent the most difficult and gruesome processes before they could shine brighter. What happens to you between your birth and your destiny is not important. What is very important is the fact that whatever happens to you is taking you closer and closer to your life’s destiny, where your star will eventually awake and shine. It is the star in you which necessitates and invites the kind of problems you come across.

This is a great verse in the bible that every child in a crèche or Sunday school is expected to memorise. And indeed most children know it by heart. I have no doubt that you too know it by heart from one of the places mentioned above. This is a verse that evangelists have successfully used to preach and convert millions of people to the Christian Faith. But the big question is how many of us take this verse to heart. How many of us interrogate and gauge this love for ourselves?

It is not just love that God has for you. It is love that can be gauged or measured. He loved you to the extent that He gave you His only Son Jesus. There is something about you, something in you, which can only be resurrected by your decision to connect with your creator through His son Jesus. As the creator, He buried this thing in your life and it is only Him who can activate it. He sent His son Jesus to help you.

What is your response to God’s only gift – His son Jesus? His intention is for you not to perish. The only way for you to avoid perishing, is your acceptance of His gift. It does not make sense because God gives eternal life through your acceptance of His gift. Common sense says you gain something by losing another, but that is not the case with your creator. You gain through gain.

Today, accept that God loves you unconditionally. He loves you no matter how you were born. He loves you, no matter where you were born, into which family you were born. God loves you, no matter what happened in your life. God loves you, no matter what you are going through right now. Believe this truth, accept this truth, confess this truth, live this truth. You can live your life knowing that God’s love is covering you twenty four hours a day and seven days a week.

This Jesus, whom you must accept as your gift from God, is the way, the truth and the life. He knows why God created you and He has the ability to lead you to the fulfilling life and blessings which God predetermined for you before you were conceived. He wants to give you direction and knows where you are headed. If you want to experience the benefits of salvation and the enlightenment that this book is going to offer you, pray the prayer below with all your heart:

Heavenly Father, I open my heart by faith. I believe that Jesus is the son of God. I also believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. I now accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I allow Him to wash all my sins away, to cleanse me with His own blood. Heavenly Father, remove the heart of stone from me and give me a heart of flesh. Please write my name in the book of life. Lord I believe that from today onwards, I am a born again child of God. Thank you for saving my soul in the name of Jesus. Amen!

Jeremiah 1:5

Here is some very interesting information about you. Yes, the Almighty God speaks to Jeremiah here. But I want you to know that God speaks to you too here. God used this scripture about Jeremiah because He wants us to understand where His plans for our lives begin. As stated above, before He formed you in your mother’s belly, He knew you. This is awesome, isn’t it? As your creator, He knew you before you could be conceived. He knew you before your mother could be pregnant.

Secondly, before you could be delivered into this world, God says He sanctified you. To sanctify is to make something holy. When something is holy it is pure, sacred, separated, different, etc. It is important to note that these acts were performed by God before you were born. Finally, comes the last act, you were ordained. Jeremiah was ordained to become a prophet to the nations. All these processes were decided and completed by the creator without the slightest knowledge of Jeremiah’s mother and father.

In fact, when they decided to engage in sexual intercourse, they did it not knowing that what they were doing was in the plan of God. When you were born, your parents were pleasantly surprised. But God was not surprised. His purpose and plan had been born. Jeremiah was given this information so that He could live up to the purpose of his life, a prophet to the nations. He was told in order to understand that his purpose did not begin when he was born. His purpose on earth preceded his birth. What is your purpose? Maybe you were born to be a prophet too. Maybe you were born to be a doctor, nurse, lawyer, architect, actor/actress, businessman or woman, engineer, plumber, teacher, pastor, salesman, etc.

If you were destined to be a teacher and you did not become one, you will never be happy. Every person must live exactly what God has destined for him/her. It is not surprising that you find people who make life miserable for colleagues,
