About this ebook
The great, brown wolf, Bronzefur, must lead his pack to the hills to ensure its safety. However, the pack is caught in the middle of dangerous wastelands, and the storms never seem to relent. With the lives of their young threatened by hunger, the pack is driven to the point of desperation. The road is difficult and they are still far away from the hills, thus, seeing a lone wolf in the distance, Bronzefur decides he must kill it so that the meat would ensure the pack's survival, ignoring the elder wolf's opposition. As they approach the lone wolf, it becomes clear that it is stronger than Bronzefur had estimated, but he can no longer back down. The scars that the lone wolf carries on his body, along with his striking, golden eyes, force the brown wolf to hesitate at first, but immediately after, he strikes.

Chapter 1 - A lengthy march
Chapter 2 - The Ghost of Amber
Chapter 3 - The golden eyes, watchful by the moon
It can be seen clearly…
Even if the road is grim,
may all chances be so slim,
one must always find the power,
to remember…
One can fall on a slippery slope,
and be forgiven,
but one must never lose hope,
forth, by his will, one must be driven,
towards those, whom he loves sincerely…
A lengthy march
Harsh winds ravage the silence of the night, scattering snow onto the desolate land. Beneath the scant shelter of a few dying trees, a weakly pack of wolves takes its refuge. The young shiver, struggle against the freezing cold. The old keep quiet, their eyes are unsettled. Two of them, the elder and the strongest one, move away to talk. The older wolf has witnessed the roughness of times, he is battered, and his right foot lacks the power to properly hold anymore. Even so, his will is unscathed. His younger general, though himself weakened, remains a fearsome warrior, his dense, brownish armor earned him the name: Bronzefur. The elder speaks, concern fills his words:
Elder Wolf: We cannot go on like this much longer…
Bronzefur: Few more days, chieftain, we should reach the hills by then.
Elder Wolf: It is imperative, even if we manage to avoid the savages, there is barely any food left to these lands…
The winds cease to relent all night, it is thus not until daybreak that the pack can move. The thick layer of snow makes movement a struggle, it takes heavy efforts from Bronzefur to make way. Nonetheless, all pain is kept to himself, even gasps or pants rarely ever show. His eyes stare straight ahead, his resolution, adamant –
Elder Wolf: Bronzefur! Bronzefur!...
He hears the faint, distant call of the old wolf, it goes on:
Elder Wolf: You… we need to rest for a while!
And so, the mighty brown wolf stops in the midst
