About this ebook

Amanda Wells is a young, smart, average looking college professor. Amanda is gifted the joy of filling young minds with love, passion, and hope that one day a Mr. Darcy will come along. Amanda has a life planned out, great job-check, perfect studio in the heart of Minneapolis-check, romance? Still waiting. A long Holiday weekend is appearing for Amanda traveling to a friends cabin where laughter, fun, and yes, men will be accounted for. Flirting with a life long friend and perhaps more than just flirting has her shifting in thought. Could he be her Mr. Darcy? After a wild crazy, mind twirling weekend, Amanda makes her way back home. Drifting off, replaying the events over the weekend she looks up to see a car meeting her front end.

Doctor Ayden Graham is the head of chief and specializes in Neurosurgery. He is the Doctor on the day Amanda is brought into his life. Ayden Graham has been an achiever his whole life, however seeking love is one thing he will never do. Watching his parents marriage fail and only to repeat with failure he sees no such stress in his life of receiving a disaster as such. When Amanda arrives via helicopter, he would have pronounced her dead, until he saw a spark in her eyes, it gave him hope. So much in fact that he devoted much of his time with her. Doctor Graham and Amanda form a bond between each other. She being unconscious can communicate with certain reactions that Doctor Graham picks up. He is her calm and she is beginning to hold his heart.

A terrible accident left a patient with brain trauma and a doctor with hope. Amanda is a fighter, Ayden has passion, can the two survive? Will Amanda live? Ayden needs her to survive, for he needs to tell her he loves her.

This book has so many emotions from laughter to sadness and courage. A book that brings so much reality while reading you feel almost as if you are in the story with Amanda and Ayden. A powerful read.

    July 3rd

It is a Holiday weekend, last class of the day before we all can go celebrate the 4th of July. As always, I will arrive late to the weekend bash, filled with friends and good times.

I am a teacher. I help with summer courses, as well as, regular school year hours. I studied under Cromwell, he was my mentor and if you had a chance to study or learn from him, I’d say you were very lucky and an honored person. I graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. I was quickly hired at the Art Institute downtown Minneapolis. I love this area, all the stories and history that lay beneath each stone, every building, and every monument.

I’m a hopeless romantic for history, for unspoken words. I live for adventure, inspiring anyone with philosophy, and with desire for love. The gift to teach brilliant growing mind’s is truly a blessing for me. One day I hope to make history and go down in the books as a famous woman, ok a bit much, but maybe at least with a famous quote. But here I am teaching while my friends are up north at a cabin soaking up the sun rays, playing yard games and drinking anything available in their reach. I honestly, don’t mind though; this is what I love. I am 25 years old, single, intelligent, good hearted, cute, witty, and maybe even funny. But a romantic, I am. I’ve got a lot working out for me, getting ahead in life, such as my career, without the stress of being tied down. Not that I am saying having a boyfriend would be stressful, well ok it is, but I’m just not in that place yet. I admire Shakespeare greatly and The Pride and Prejudice so much that I am looking for or perhaps waiting for my Mr. Darcy. He will appear one day when I am not looking and sweep me off my feet. I do believe in love at first sight. We will find each other but today is not the day. I am stuck in class, teaching, however, I will admit I am anxious to go relax and let loose. Hang out in the water, laugh and there will be tons of laughing so much in fact that my cheeks will start to hurt. My friends are crazy and have been blessed to travel on some amazing adventures, I just can’t wait to hear them all.

This is my last class for today and I can tell I have no one’s attention.

OK everyone, I’ll end early today. Go on, get out of here. Be safe, and Happy fourth! I hear many excited sighs, and rushed eager bodies to get out of the classroom.

Thanks Miss Wells. Enjoy your weekend as well. An older student returns.

Thank you. I respond back, a bit surprised anyone even noticed I was still here.

Back at my studio I gather all my items needed for my weekend. I live close to work, walking distance in fact. I have a studio in the heart of Minneapolis, I will never grow old of this city. So much to see and do here, and if you get sick of the fast pace life in the city, you can always travel outward to the countryside, where here in Minnesota we offer ten thousand lakes plus. So, for time away, or as I call ‘an escape’, just travel either way out of the city, hit a lake and chill.

My studio is one big flat floor. Wide open except for the closed off bathroom and two bedrooms. My kitchen flows right into my living space. It’s huge, modern, I gave it a nice touch, filling warmth to it.

My car is packed and I am off in my bug. I love my little black beetle. I drive a very cool Volkswagen convertible beetle car. Interior all white, leather white seats, the convertible part is a soft top so with a click of a button the top folds itself back into a little compartment behind the second-row seat. Today, I have the top down, stereo blaring ‘Summer of ‘69’ by Bryan Adams. Finally, arriving at my destination, I can hear the loud laughter and yells of conversations going on from the front of the cabin. I make my way down the path as my good friend Melissa spies my movement.

Amanda! Hey, everyone, Amanda is here! She yells out for the whole lake to hear. You can hear cheers from every direction shout.

AMANDA! Yeah, I feel special, already famous.

Relaxing life is pretty good. Laying on my blue, blown up floaty watching some of my friends jumping off the dock, some are resting with their significant partner, and others are playing corn hole on shore.

Hey Amanda, you look deep in thought. What are you thinking about? Says Anna swimming up to rest her elbows on my floaty.

Awe nothing exciting. Well, if you must know, miss curious, life in general. Relaxing here, watching everyone and the reflection of what they all have accomplished for themselves and what I have for me. I stare as one of the guys just sunk a corn bag into the hole. I feel my friend Anna’s eyes searching for more, I then fix my attention on her giving a warm smile hoping nothing more will continue and that will end it.

Are you not happy? (well that didn’t work) she asks scrunching her eye brows together.

No, no that’s not it at all. I’m perfectly happy. Doing what I love, living where I love. I’m young, I’ve got plenty of time to find love. I confirm

Well I wasn’t talking about you finding love, is this what you’re so deep in thought about? I just gaze off, no comment from me.

OK, sweetheart I’ll back off. But we all know you landed your dream job. Talking about two men you love most is truly a great job. Don’t worry honey, one day, Mr. Darcy will walk into your life. She teased and swam under the tube before I could dunk her.

That’s cheap blow Anna! You’re like a pair of twisted undies that crawl up my butt. Annoying! I yell at her laughing as soon as
