    Prologue

    Look over there

    The woman she stands

    Alone

    Through hot and cold

    Through struggle, pain,

    The love the hate

    Waiting

    Yet not

    She’s the poet of the

    Country a loudness crier

    Panic in her voice

    Observation battered

    And bitten in a political

    Minefield, recovering

    Miles upon miles on

    Every street

    Children of an art culture

    The dark

    Edges of reality have

    Found her

    Yet she stands

    Vacant

    Listening to your dreams,

    Chaos

Broken in a corner of your

    nightmare

    By her,

    And all the men

    Around her

    Gallery Part One

It’s late afternoon in winter of early mid-January 2015, New York City, the sun is setting on the statue of Liberty. The city has the usual traffic chaos in streets with people trying to get home from work quickly. There is a downtown complex on 17th Street near the Mall; The New York Art Gallery stands with a popular gathering of tourists, patrons, and spectators. It is near closing time, Samantha Clark (Sam) is wandering around the gallery coding paintings and taking phone calls. She goes over to talk to Liz, her Gallery Tour Guide; Liz is standing at the reception desk doing paper work. Sam chats to her about a relationship bust-up. But Liz is still married, and thinks that Sam is just lucky to be single again. Sam then explains to Liz that a Fortune-teller, said there ‘could be changes in her life soon’ — a man, possibly a musician will enter her life."

Liz doesn’t really believe in that kind of thing. After all, it has never really helped her, with her own love life.

Just then, Sam receives a text message, on her cell phone. She retrieves the message. It reads, Coming soon! At your local Gallery — new arrivals – ‘error message Portrait virus’ error - virus (message) warning - Darkness (error) — She looks oddly at the message repeating the message to herself, however the message appears to be corrupted. Sam shouts in a loud voice — Attention, staff has any one of you advertised this Gallery online? However, the staff members insist none of them have placed an advertisement, as they return to their jobs around the gallery.

Sam shakes her head thinking, and concerned about the message, and now… the intercom radio announces — Sam Clark to delivery zone, Sam Clark to delivery zone thank you!

A Delivery truck backs into the loading zone at the Art Gallery. The driver gets out of the cab,
