ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The Author was born in Cuba but has spent much of her life in the USA. She uses a pen-name. Her hobby has and remains writing, having written anther book and many poems in her native Spanish some being some are translated to English. Her aim, and her dreams is to have a book made into a telemovie or a TV series

PROLOGUE
The War of the Smartphones is an audacious look at one of the thorny issues of our present modern society. The story creates a fantastic and imaginative reality where the actions do not completely separate themselves from the world lived and felt by human beings; instead they stem from it.
The feelings and attitudes expressed by the characters are submerged in situations with unequal meanings – ranging from love to carnal desire; from strength and order to fear and compliance; from mystery to the light of hope – to such an extent, they become symbolic. The reader has the artistic works called to his attention to make him think, judge, take sides in favor or against what is expressed yet with prudence, and cleverly, without sermons, with good judgment. This way, the reader also becomes a joint participant, an accomplice and active agent of the story. This, in itself is already an achievement, considering the climate of alienation and indifference created in our modern societies.
The narrative rhythm is lively; the cutting style effectively increasing the tension of the events, yet without effusion. The omniscient narrator tells what he knows, sometimes he is explicit,
