THE NAME OF THE ISLAND was so secret Shane didn't even know what it was. Somewhere in the West Indies involving a connection in Nassau. You needed to bring your passport. That's all Cody would tell him.

Marry in haste, and repent at leisure, Cody said, a quote he'd learned his first season on the set of his soap, Eternity's Destiny.

Shane and Cody had indeed married in haste, a quickie in Vegas, but it wasn't the marriage they regretted. It was the lack of time for a real honeymoon.

Now it was August, and Cody had scored a luxury villa on this mysterious island. Whether it was a  former British colony, a former Spanish colony, a former French one... that Shane didn't know nor did he need to know.

It's first class all the way, baby. Cody's eyes sparkled with anticipation. First class flights, a private plane for the final leg, a limo to meet us, a beach all to ourselves...  In theory, they'd married to gain control of a million-dollar legacy, but they held much of the money in trust for their dog rescue foundation, so Cody always kept one eye out for a good deal. Life was expensive in New York, even for soap opera stars.
