All scripture quotations in this book are from the Holy Bible: New King James Version, King James Version, The Message (MSG) Version, New International Version, Amplified Version and American Standard Version.

What does the Holy Bible, the Word of God, say about leadership? Now, sit back and read:

Let’s begin with Proverbs 16:10 - The Message (MSG) Version, A good leader motivates, doesn’t mislead, doesn’t exploit.

Proverbs 16:12 - The Message (MSG) Version simply says, Good leaders abhor wrongdoing of all kinds; sound leadership has a moral foundation.

In Proverbs 16:13 - The Message (MSG) Version, the Word of God says, Good leaders cultivate honest speech; they love advisors who tell them the truth.

Proverbs 16:14, 15 - The Message (MSG) Version declares, An intemperate leader wreaks havoc in lives; you’re smart to stay clear of someone like that. Good-tempered leaders invigorate lives; they’re like spring rain and sunshine.

Proverbs 20:28 - The Message (MSG) Version states, Love and truth form a good leader; sound leadership is founded on loving integrity.

Take a look at Proverbs 21:1 - The Message (MSG) Version, Good leadership is a channel of water controlled by God; he directs it to whatever ends he chooses.

Then, Proverbs 25:3 - The Message (MSG) Version, Like the horizons for breadth and the ocean for depth, the understanding of a good leader is broad and deep.

Now, go to Proverbs 28:2 - The Message (MSG) Version, When the country is in chaos, everybody has a plan to fix it - But it takes a leader of real understanding to straighten things out.

And, Proverbs 29:12 - The Message (MSG) Version says, When a leader listens to malicious gossip, all the workers get infected with evil.

In Proverbs 29:2 - The Bible says, The Message (MSG) Version, When good people run things, everyone is glad, but when the ruler is bad, everyone groans.

Now, read Proverbs 28:16 - Amplified (AMP) Version, "A leader who is a great oppressor lacks understanding and common sense [and his wickedness shortens his days], But he who hates unjust gain will [be blessed and] prolong his days".

Let’s look closer at 1 Peter 5:1-3 The Message (MSG) Version, I have a special concern for you church leaders. I know what it’s like to be a leader, in on Christ’s sufferings as well as the coming glory. Here’s my concern: that you care for God’s flock with all the diligence of a shepherd. Not because you have to, but because you want to please God. Not calculating what you can get out of it, but acting spontaneously. Not bossily telling others what to do, but tenderly showing them the way.

The Scripture clearly says in Proverbs 9:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV) Version,
