Plain and simple, I'm mostly a horror author, but i also do fantasy and adventure type works also. I have not strayed from fiction so far, mainly because... well, we can see reality whenever we please. I personally feel the world needs more fantasy, people need an escape from the real world, and for me and many others, that escape is through writing. So far I've specialized in Zombie and/or other worldly creations of nature, creatures are and always will be, my favorites. Please people don't be shy, drop by and sneak a look at an Ebook (granted I have one posted), or drop by my Wattpad account to take a look at my series Blood Moon, or one of the other fantasy works held there.

    Chapter 1

    Prologue

Bastards, thieves, liars, crooks, corporation, greed, filth… the world is filled with sickness and despair, there’s no hope. Before, during, after, through the course of the event of the end of the world as it were so called there was a side of the story never told. The so called hero named Bach had withheld information from his friends and the people he so valiantly watched over and tried so hard to protect.

He wasn’t always the emotionless person people saw him as after the event, and he never told anyone what he had been involved in before the famed life of crime and piracy he led. To many people’s disbelief he was involved in government, a test subject of sorts to a cloning program they were trying to perfect. Day after day they tried to analyze his mind to figure if they could clone off his body and place the split personality he generated inside of it. After a year of work they finally managed to make progress, but the only problem is they didn’t do the work while he was conscious, leaving him with no recollection they had done this operation.

He awoke to the sound of alarms blaring; something about an outbreak came over the intercom. He grabbed his equipment and rushed outside only to freeze immediately after walking out of the facility. He was solid white staring to a dark figure directly in front of him only to finally realize he was staring at a version of himself that obviously didn’t need to be let out. A small shock led up his spine, when he saw the perfect copy of himself covered in blood and holding a few small glass vials.

A hero the copy said You’ve always wanted to be the hero, and don’t lie to me, you can’t lie to yourself. He said with a grin before breaking one of the vials open. God-damnit Shadow just leave it alone, it doesn’t have to be like this… I may not be able to stop you, but he will Bachman replied calmly. Will he? Will he even come out here? I haven’t seen him yet… it’s too late Bachman, I made him an offer, and instead you come, rejecting my offer the same as him Shadow replied before knocking Bachman unconscious. Well now you get your chance and I get what I want myself. He said sporting another wide grin. He threw him in the back of the car and took him to his home, by morning he would never know how long he had been gone from it either way. The copy who called himself a Shadow had grabbed a few things from the lab, some equipment, and wiped the memory of the hero Bach clean.

By the time morning came around he never remembered anything, all he knew was it was time to wake up and continue his daily routine. A year passes by and even with the death of Bachman the outpost still carries on with less power. They’re getting closer to us every day, soon enough they’ll figure it out and so they were. Without the man with the ability to destroy countless infected bare handed, they were getting dangerously close. The infected had gotten smart since they received a new leader with lethal power and a skill set to match our dead hero.

One of the smarter and higher ranking was sitting behind a computer monitoring them over a GPS that had been hacked. So what exactly do we plan to do with our living friends? asked the undead to his leader. We torture them with what they thought isn’t possible. He said, his minion giving a confused stare. And what exactly is this surprise torture method you have in store? he asked turning back to the computer and watching them. What is their current position, where is this locked too? he asked and started to walk away Current position is almost an hour away from their outpost, inside of a mall he replied.

Very good, sync it up and get my transportation ready, we’re going to visit the mall for a shopping spree he replied with a wicked grin. Meanwhile, inside the mall the number of infected had grown, almost tripled. While the group pulled their way through, they were slowly becoming surrounded and running out of ammo for all weapons. Well, it’s been nice working with all of you, your leader would have been proud said the current squad leader, Bach’s right hand Chai. You children with the guns, you all look pathetic and it makes me wonder… would he be proud of you? asked a voice from nowhere, throwing a human heart in front of him.

Chai starting shuffling a thought around his mind, the thought of the voice he heard and how familiar it sounded. Heel my children, step away the voice gave a command that caused the infected to stop and back away, the group started to figure it out. They fire what ammo they had left in the direction the voice was coming from, he laughed. When he stepped from the darkness he was wearing a mask made of metal and the bullets fired dropped from his right hand. Bullets, really, that’s a pathetic attempt, blades are the only thing that’s taking me down at the exact moment that was said, one of the new squad members lunged forward and dropped ten feet ahead. And your just not fast enough to do it he replied, pulling a silver blade from their new recruit and wiping it off.

Who are you and why are- Chai asked and was interrupted by the masked man You know, Chai, I can still remember it like it was yesterday he said with a quiet laugh, slowly approaching them. The first day I was actually born you had just been put in my cell for carving your parents to dog food before he could continue Chai charged him and was thrown back. If you weren’t my friend at one point I would kill you right now he said with a hysterical laugh and sat down at a table, a dog that had been infected sat beside him and started growling at the living.

Chai started to recognize the voice a little more, with every sentence it was ringing more in the back of his mind. All of you get out of here, I’ll handle this my- he was interrupted again by the man in the mask No by all means everyone, stay he snapped his fingers and had them surrounded again. Close your eyes Chai told his team, the man sheathed his blade and stood in front of them No I want you all to see my face before I leave he removed his mask causing them to almost fall in shock. A slightly scarred yet recognizable face with a demented look stared at them; no one could muster a word for a few moments.

Ladies and gentleman, I promise we will meet again very, very soon, and I’ll have my eyes on you all he snaps again, calling all of his followers shortly behind him allowing the squad to exit. When they return they go back their main chamber, the undead monitoring the computer stares at him. That’s the big torture plan? he asks and laughs to him. No, the plan is much more than that… I’m going to torture them with a person. Leaning over the computer he pulls a picture of Bach up from old government records. Sir, do you forget, this man is dead, and we watched it happen on a security camera he turned to his leader who still had his face in the shadows. No he isn’t, it’s impossible for that to happen he replies staring to the screen. And how is it impossible when I watched it happen? he asks coldly staring over his shoulder. The leader leans down letting the glare from the screen hit his face Because we’re the same person and I am a part of him, if he was dead I would know it he answered and started to walk away And since they thought I was him then this will be a fun event to take place, for me anyway. His minion turns to him and stands And what if he comes back, what will happen then and will you be prepared? he asked, the shadow stopped and turned back All hell will break loose he walks back and stands in the minions face with a twisted smile as the blood pools out of the side of his jaw And as for him coming back? I’m counting on it and waiting the day anxiously.

    Chapter 2

    Patterns

They thought they were the only thing left to this world that wasn’t dead but that’s where they were wrong… there are others out there. The next clan we study in this fascinating tale was created after the death of our hero by a masked man, his entire society assumed he was deformed because he always wears a mask made of pure metal. He spoke low and very gruff, the name he answered to was obviously fake, Zero. No last name, no first, there was nothing to identify the man for who he really is, But everyone still looked to him with respect and understanding, just for the fact that he saved them all individually, he never had a reason to bring anyone along because he knew he could handle it, until now.

His second in command was a young woman, new to the group but still the most experienced next to him, she knew she would be replaced soon. Most people in command had special gifts as they were also subject to military testing, then again some were born with them, she was given a gift through a testing process. She stood around 5’8, long white hair with a violet eye color and slightly pale skin. Her temper was much shorter than herself, a very easy girl to set off.

Would you please just get out of my face Mako? It’s been a long night and I’m not up for your shit this morning said Zero to the young girl, sitting at the top of their complex, messing around on a laptop. We’re not safe here, what do you not get about us needing more security? she replied sitting beside him. Yes I get that but apparently you’re missing a few gears, we have the best security we can get, our people he replied to her and looked over the edge. Don’t even, I know what you’re thinking and that jump, even for you, is suicide she spoke before yelling, looking in the other direction. Mhmm he replied and smiled wickedly as if he were planning a cruel joke on her. As she turned back she saw nothing, when she grabbed a rifle and a scope she looked over the edge and saw a small dot running off. Did you just jump off of this building? she asked him over an earpiece transmitter they had dug out of the 30th floor in the building. Well I prefer to think I leapt off of it but the principal is the same right? he asked her as he ran off and cut the frequency.

As he ran off he had a heavy weight plying at him. He felt as though there was something missing in his life but he couldn’t quite piece it together for everything else he had going on at the
