About this ebook

If you had your dream body for only 24 hours…What would you do?
A sweet short modern twist to the ol’ tale of Cinderella…
Sometimes all we need is a little boost of self-confidence…

Tess Andrews lacked self-confidence from the models that surrounded her at work. It only discouraged her from sparking up a conversation with internationally famous photographer Parker Walsh.

Her saviour-Girls Night! When her friend Cami shows them a magical pendant and tells them of her Grandma’s story, they decide what-the-heck and make a wish. A wish to have their dream bodies but there’s a catch. The wish only lasts 24 hours.

A boost of self-esteem gives Tess the courage to ask Parker out. She has the perfect dress, the perfect shoes and a date with her Prince Charming. But will he like the ‘real’ her once the clock strikes twelve?

Oh yes Miss Tess, this definitely cries out red carpet. Or should I say runway for you.

Tess laughed. He thinks I’m one of the models. Now there’s a compliment or one damn-good sales person.

I’m not a model. I run an employment agency. Parker is one of my clients. I refer models to him. Tess laughed and Franc joined in.

I assumed. How silly of me? Parker sends models to me for special occasions. He’s never sent a special someone. Is this your first date? Or is it just business Franc teased with a wink.

Our second date actually if you count lunch today. Tess shrugged.

Well he is one lucky man. Franc turned Tess so she could she herself in the mirror.

She smiled. She never dreamed she’d be wearing a dress this beautiful. Franc was right. She felt like she’d been wrapped in silk as the light-weight material touched her skin. The bodice gave just enough of a peak of her cleavage. I take back what I said to Cami about Cinderella.

I don’t know if I’ll get the happily-ever-after but I am certain I’m going to have one magical night.

    Chapter One

    Grande Caramel Macchiato, please.

She rolled her eyes when her barista turned away. I’m here every morning for the past three years and you can’t remember my usual? Tess Andrews moved farther along the counter to wait for her coffee. She turned back in the barista’s direction when she heard the laughter. Tess wanted to gag. Such a fake laugh! She heard it all too often in her line of work.

One Tall London Fog coming up for the beautiful lady.

Seriously. He can remember her tea but not my coffee. She’s been here less than a week on a shoot! Tess snapped out of her fury when she heard the announcement of her caramel macchiato. She smiled and politely said, Thank you Why the hell am I so polite? I should give them a piece of mind. Maybe they’d remember my order. Forget it Tess. You’re not one of those beautiful blonde models that roam the earth.

Lost within her state of frustration she almost collided with Parker Walsh.

    That was close.

His voice caught her off guard more so then the almost—accidental—bump of their coffees. Just the sound of his voice made her swallow hard. His playful easy-going chuckle that followed weakened her at the knees. Internationally-known fashion photographer, Parker Walsh, was the new kid on the block—so to speak. Rumor had it that he tired of European travel and wanted to return to his roots in Portland. His dreamy hazel-colored eyes beneath that darkened sexy mass of hair made her wish she looked like the blonde model who’d just flirted with the barista. He left her speechless. She couldn’t even blurt out a simple, Sorry. Normally, Tess would be polite but this man seemed to have her in a spell. Luckily, she didn’t have to speak when interrupted by the blonde.

Oh Parker darling, there you are. I need to speak with you about this morning’s shoot.

Tess quickly walked off when the blonde pulled him away from her.

Tess pressed the elevator button three times, desperate to get to her office and hide from her embarrassment. She’d been attracted to Parker since he moved his business into the building but too damn shy to even smile at him at the Starbucks in the lobby, or the occasional elevator ride together up to the tenth floor. She’d seen him every morning for the past three months, but had yet to find the nerve to strike up a conversation.

    Hey Cami, Tess said
