      As much as he wanted to ignore the outside world, River still hungered for it. He needed to know how society had evolved and changed. Maybe the reference in the library wasn’t completely accurate. He needed to speak to Vix.

      It wasn’t easy to get another session with his counselor. Eventually he had to settle for his doctor, Sil. They met in his office.
