Adrianna Dane has been putting pen to paper since the age of ten. She currently resides in the state of Washington. She has a great fondness for using a fountain pen when writing her first drafts. Hobby interests are varied, including photography and traveling. The first defining love story Adrianna read back in junior high school was "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte, and that set her on the road to her long-standing love affair with books of all genres. It was a fighting name for a girl. It always had been. It spoke of adventure, sex, and passion. It was a red name. It said lush lips, curvy hips, full breasts. It said daring. It screamed take me. It dripped confidence.

Cherri Barratt hated her name.

She hated the color red; she was far too skinny to bear such a sexy name. What had her parents been thinking? And she certainly couldn’t be called adventurous or daring, which certainly belied the color of her hair as well. And at graduation from college she had been by far the most inexperienced woman in the auditorium.

Ticket, please. And identification.

Cherri handed over the recently purchased ticket direct flight to Cuba along with her never before used passport. Nervously, she smoothed a hand down over the skirt of the fresh-off-the-hanger flirty, crimson skirt as she waited for the attendant to check everything and hand her the boarding pass. Her daisy-covered suitcase was strictly carry-on.

This was all Rafael Mercado’s fault. If she hadn’t met him three months ago, she wouldn’t be in this situation. Well, if she hadn’t walked into that smoke shop she wouldn’t have met Rafael. She’d only stopped in to purchase a box of cigars for her father for his birthday. La Gloria Cubana made in the Dominican Republic. She had written the complete name down so she’d remember it because she really didn’t know much about cigars.

Boy, did she get an education, in more ways than one.

And now she was on her way to visit Rafael’s family’s tobacco plantation in Cuba.

The attendant handed her back the envelope containing her boarding pass and passport and Cherri stepped away from the counter and headed toward the checkpoint, mentally reviewing what was contained in her bag, and comparing it to a range of taboo items she had checked online.

The heat in her cheeks probably matched the color of her dress as she set her bag on the conveyor belt and stepped through the security gate.

Be certain to bring them with you, Rafael had said on the phone last night. That was just as she’d pulled the vibrator from inside her channel and brought herself off to a mind-numbing climax. She really had to wonder why she hadn’t hesitated more about stuffing the toys and the tube of lubricant into her bag, knowing they had to go through security and others would know exactly what was contained in her bag. Please God, don’t let them pull her out for a more thorough search of her belongings. She could only hope.

But none of that mattered, it didn’t stop her from including the items. Apparently, she’d acquired a taste for the exotic over the last couple of months. Rafael and his sexual preferences being one of them.

Thankfully, they didn’t ask to search her bag. Breathing a sigh of relief as she slipped her shoes back on, she made a quick detour to the ladies’ room to freshen up, and then headed toward the boarding gate to await her departure.

Cherri’s thoughts vividly returned to that day in the smoke shop. It had certainly changed her life…
