About this ebook

The plan was simple. Do one job. Make enough cash. Get out.

One rainy night and a terrible accident are all it takes for Logan to find himself suddenly orphaned.

Fighting to take care of his two younger brothers while working a low-wage job is proving to be a bigger struggle than he anticipated. And his prospects for improving things are more than bleak since he has zero marketable skills.

Except for one.

Given a computer and a secure internet connection, Logan discovers he can do almost anything. And soon his services are in high-demand ... with all the wrong people.

All it takes is one critical mistake to cost him everything and make it all but impossible for him to make a clean break.

Desperate and out of time, He's left with only two choices. Either he burns bridges with his enemies and puts himself and his family even more at risk. Or he burns bridges with those he loves in order to save his skin and theirs.

When one phone call changes everything…

When the phone rings, Logan knows immediately that he shouldn’t answer it. But answer it he does, and by then, it’s too late to take it back.

Now all his plans to disappear for good go south when he’s forced to go back to the home he can’t bear to return to–and face the ghosts he’s so desperately been running from– in order to protect what’s left of those he loves.

The only problem is, despite his best intentions, his presence ends up doing much more harm than it does good.

The rain beat mercilessly against the ground. So much so that Logan swore he could actually feel every single thud.

It didn’t bother him, despite the fact that he was quickly soaked through. He took comfort in the rain’s consistency, in its regularity. He picked up the bottle again and took another long swallow. Straight to the head. Then he looked down. Some had spilled on the pants leg of his wrinkled suit; he hadn’t bothered to iron it. Fuck, he said out loud.

He got up from the ground, or tried to anyway, and then stumbled and nearly fell down before finally finding some firm footing. He paused, waited for the place to stop spinning, and then started forward, stumbling through the wet grass past countless headstones.

He came to a stop when he saw the crowd of
