Preface
On Earth, 2042
Once upon a time there was a baby girl who was born in a shocking way. Just before the delivery her pretty, blonde haired, blue eyed mother said, My baby is going to take over the world…
Her voice rose to a shout as she called out, New world order!
Then she fell unconscious from what seemed like endless hours of labor. When the blonde died, she had a smile on her perfect face. The old, stout, brown skinned doctor at her assistance who was a bit confused and secretly falling into senility, did not direct the nurse to call for help when he noticed a strange bubble coming out of the woman.
Upon seeing the shiny translucence of the bubble as it protruded from the womb, the doctor’s big brown eyes flew wide open and his heart slammed much like a jackhammer against his white coated chest. The doctor’s wrinkled face paled as he assiduously pulled the surprisingly flexible ball out of the mother’s womb. His long brown fingers shook something terrible as he held the object.
The smooth surface of the bubble was thicker and less fragile than it appeared. Never before had he seen such a fright. He tapped on the clear rubbery shell briefly with one knuckle and through a cluster inside of what appeared to be some thin pink or purple tissue or possibly membranes, some big blue eyes popped open, seeming to stare at him. The doctor’s breath jumbled and caught in his throat. Coughing up some yellow mucus, he felt like he couldn’t breathe. At his old age his body felt so dried out and frail. And as his knees buckled under him, he fainted for the first time in his life, falling to the hard floor like a bag of hollow bones.
The young nurse, batting her excessively long eyelashes was an extremely tall woman with a slight hump on her back. Her face looked somewhat like the face of a camel mixed with pretty human features. Her expression lit up with the excitement of the birth and her large camel nostrils flared. She was a genetic mix of both camel and human. Mixed breeds were always bad, but they had power in government and were given equal rights with people.
This mix breed’s name was Farah and she stood upright on human legs. She blinked her dark beady eyes and tossed her ultra-long curly brown hair over her tan, slightly furry shoulder that protruded from her nursing coat immodestly.
With determination, she took the bubble into her smooth human-like hands. Oh, it is beautiful. Her grey lips lifted into crooked camel smile. She rolled the
