Chapter One

Tiffany Erikson stood in front of the mirror of her dance school’s girl's bathroom. She tried to dry the tears from her dark brown eyes, but the tongue lashing she had just received from her dance teacher hurt worse than any scolding she had ever received in the past. Not even a harsh word from her mother or father impacted her in the way her dance teacher had just done.

She knew it was her fault. She should have practiced more. She could have tried harder. Her teacher was right. If she didn’t change, she wouldn’t ever become a professional. She had gone through all that trouble to get into this school, and she was already throwing it all away. What bothered her most, however, was the fact that her dance teacher threatened, in front of the entire class, to kick her out if she ever showed up unprepared again.
