Living the Dream
Achipper Larsen Thompson literally glides through the foyer of White City House, when we meet her the morning after her HFM cover shoot.
The dancer, model, philanthropist and actress gives us a huge hug and launches straight into a story about the night before. “I went for dinner at Laylow,” she says, of the Notting Hill hotspot, “and ended up eating loads of cake, I was so full,” she adds rubbing her tummy and blowing out her cheeks.
The gutsy 19-year-old and her boyfriend actor, Gavin Casalegno, who is best known for playing Young Damon in The Vampire Diaries, have been staying at the converted BBC Television Centre since returning from Paris Fashion Week.
We take a seat in the restaurant and she orders an acai and berry smoothie with a protein shot “in a to-go cup. Because I prefer them like that,” she chortles. “Honestly, they are so good, I’ve literally been having them every morning.”
Mixing business and pleasure she and Gavin decided to turn their stay in London into a little holiday.
“We intentionally left Paris early for that reason. We’ve been chilling in the spa and visiting all the places you need to as a tourist in London. We went to Buckingham Palace to try to see the Queen,” she laughs. “I love her and everything she wears, she’s amazing.”
