    Angel On High

The soft pattern of the flowing skirt encircled the bark of the finest wood. Covered in trumpets and violins the instruments sang their praise all over the green silken fabric beneath the branches below.

Gifts lay under comforts of the tree carrying treasures within and around each and everyone. The vibrant colors of each breath-taking bow lay atop. The hand written cards tied with each gave a clear feeling of love and warmth for what lie underneath.

Encircled inside all the glories below the tree stands a miniature manger. Shepherds who were called, the wise men who came bearing gifts, Joseph and Mary who were truly blessed, and the babe of God who was foretold.

On the branches above the rest, the lights are all a glow. Like candles guiding the way through memories and on many more to hopefully to be made.

The ornaments themselves whisper, giving secrets of our lives. Intoned on one branch sits a ceramic rattle inscribed are the words baby’s first Christmas 1992. Just above the rattle is a heart given
