About this ebook

Reading about a couple's love life, a stranger online becomes part of it. "She wore a black sweater (hers fit; his didn’t- have I mentioned that?) and brown corduroy skirt over black tights. Through the fuzzy wool her knees, glow of her skin, her lower thighs showed. You could see its texture against the wool. Smoothness on soft roughness. The sun drew out her qualities, intensified them- or they drew to it- her black hair flashed with highlights, riches upon riches. Was she with him now?" Short chapters. New episode added almost every day.

We went to an art museum, Akemi from her studio and I from home. Before leaving, I saw some news about terrorism. That made me chary to begin with. I found myself wondering, if confronted with a threat would I stay and help others as people I saw did or run away, save only myself?

When I arrived at our planned meeting place, a bench outside the museum, she’d already been there a few minutes. It took me a moment to find her. That wasn’t the only bench and a lot of people, museum goers and others, blocked the view. Akemi shared the bench with one stranger,
