Prologue
The book describes the adventures of a poor young man from India, who goes in search of his fortune and, by his bravery, manages to save the land of a great Maharaja, defending it from danger and winning his daughter’s hand, who accepts him for his great soul, despite his ugly appearance.

One of them was very ugly, but had a good heart and did not cease to do good to all who came along in his path, while the other was very handsome but also very evil and spiteful. And so, the boys went to find their fortune in this world. Even on their way, Raj’s malice manifested itself, injuring all the creatures that came along on his path.
‘I will take one path and you brother will take the other because here the road splits into two paths, one leading West and the other towards East.’
And
