About the Author
CHAPTER 1 – HISTORY HOMEWORK
My legs were trembling. My palms were sweaty. The Mystery Math Squad had never faced anything quite so frightening or terrifying.
No, we weren’t on some top secret assignment… we had History homework.
Now, most kids in our class get in a tizz when they’re faced with mathematics challenges. But not us. You could fire a hundred math questions at us and we’d answer them with our eyes closed. But History homework was a whole other thing. We were math geniuses, not historians!
The other problem was that all the other kids in class had their weekends to do their assignments. But not us four. We were different. We had responsibilities. I counted the pictures. There were 10. Trying to layout a few pictures, I worked out that I could fit 2 across and 3 down. A quick multiplication - 2 times 3 - told me that only 6 pictures would fit on the front. I got to work selecting the best 6.
Now, Devon,
Trixie said, looking up to where Devon and
