A New Dimension in Wool Appliqué - Baltimore Album Style - Deborah Gale Tirico
The Table Rugs
Sincerely, Mary Simon
LEVEL: Confident Intermediate
Finished rug: 27˝ diameter
This table rug is an homage to Mary Simon, an extraordinary designer of appliqué quilts in the Baltimore Album style. It is believed that she not only designed many of the classic Baltimore Album blocks we know and love, but also cut and basted quilt squares to sell to quilters in the Baltimore area. With these kits,
many women made presentation quilts—gifts for special occasions, such as births or weddings.
